“As I catch the train from Howden, Hull trains is so much better than in the old days. One would be standing waiting for the train and find it had been cancelled. And when you are in the middle of nowhere it proved difficult especially as no taxis around!
Nowdays, they are on time, the staff are courteous and it has been a clean and efficient service so far this year.”

One small criticism, however.....the on-board announcements that insist that we will arrive in Hull on time when it is patently obvious that the train will be late in.....and then no apologies or explanations are given.”

Trains are clean and well cared for, journey is usually pleasant (although some noisy passengers do turn up on the Quiet Coach from time to time). My only complaint is that there is no Quiet area on First Class (hence the preference to use the Quiet Coach).”
