“My daughter had an excellent first few lessons with her new tutor Joanne. She was feeling a bit anxious going back to school because she was out of practice with her lessons and Joanne got her right back on track and made her feel really good about herself. She came out of the lesson feeling euphoric and delighted and said how amazing and nice she was. Thank you for helping her get back on track. Look forward to many more lessons to come. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.”

“Anna is doing well with my son, so far Kieran has had two lessons ,he feels comfortable and relaxed around Anna. Kieran certainly wants Anna to continue to help him achieve a great grade on his English. With her positive and great attitude,I’m confident he will improve so much.”

“It’s very early days yet - and I have met Richard only once on line - but I think this should work well. We got on admirably and have now agreed a programme for tuition. Over the last few years, my former tutor who has now retired, based his teaching of the language on the context of the culture of Wales, the country and his personal experiences over the years. This made the language come alive and made the lessons great fun. I hope Richard and I will be able to do the same. Richard knows I already have a cottage in Wales, so we’re partly there already.”

“I was looking for a music teacher to teach me how to play the banjo. This website has a very easy to use search facility, which lets you set filters for location, distance you are willing to travel, which instrument, and what your skill level is. Once you have a short list, then you can pull up details of the various teachers, their background and training, professional references and qualifications - and even the genre of music that they teach on your chosen instrument. I have no hesitation at all about recommending First Tutors, whatever subject you wish to study.”

“Very simple process on finding a tutor. There is enough information supplied to make a good judgement call. There are also personal reviews and professional reviews for the tutors listed. There was also a quick response from the tutor picked and also a follow on email from First Tutors to ensure that i had made contact with my chosen tutor. So far I am very happy with the process.”

“Good platform. Great profiles and details of teachers in my local area. Very responsive teachers. Would recommend you have multiple options for subjects. I wanted to select both English and maths but had to choose one for my search.”
