“Asked my daughter what she was finding difficult in chemistry. Started from the beginning and broke everything down for her step by step, very good st explaining and always asking her if she was understanding it. My daughter felt very comfortable with her. Helena was very good.”

“Having paid for the tutor details , he notified me after I had contacted him that he was not available as he had another job. I requested help from First Tutors to recommend another tutor in the are and received what amounted to an automated reply. I consider customer service to be poor. Brid”

“First Tutors enabled me to find a local cello teacher quickly and I was able to arrange lessons almost immediately. Good communication by email after I initially contacted them.”

“Ease of use on the site is good. However the cost to gain a tutors details is high if you consider you may not be able to come to any mutual time agreed or you decide after one session they are not suitable. You will then be charged again to get details of another tutor.”

Dear Clare, Thank you for your feedback. We do ask that tutors and tutees discuss mutually agreeable dates and times for tuition, to ensure that both parties are happy before choosing to proceed. “The information supplied on the website was incorrect. I only joined as I was looking for lessons for my child at the weekend or at my home. Once I had joined and contacted the tutor directly I was informed that weekend lessons or lessons at home were not available contrary to the information given on the website.”

“I had tried a different site first who's tutors were all to busy to take on more pupils. We have found the most amazing history tutor through this site. To my daughter this is one of the most important subjects and Sam is absolutely brilliant with a very good manner that my daughter is comfortable with.”
