“Great collection of tutors in one place. Tutors respond very quickly. I have successfully found Economics and Geography tutors for my daughter. Both are excellent! Reasonable charge. I would highly recommend first tutors to any one looking for a tutor.”

“The site is easy to use, and the tutor I chose was good. HOWEVER, £20 intro fee is steep for what they do, their advice to pay after the first session was in direct conflict with the tutors policy of pay before the first session. This left me either paying before and taking the risk or losing the £20 fee. In summary, it's a very expensive way to find a tutor, but it does work, and they claim to have done checks in all tutors, which is of some value.”

The fee varies from £4.99-24.99 and helps cover the security checks we perform on all tutors. We find that this provides parents and students with peace of mind. “I approached First Tutors for support as I taught myself several programming languages in an attempt to improve my understanding of WordPress and to build an ambitous web site and blog. First Tutors made it easy to select potential Tutors who had the skills to assist me, and the site's processes made it simple to contact those who are interested in helping, and to reach agreement with one of them to work together.”

“My son has just started with Luke on a Summer tutorial programme to bring him up to speed with the fundamentals of Business & Economics before he enters 5th year when he will be taking these subjects for the first time. Luke is very engaging and easy for my son to work with. He was very positive after his first lesson. Luke is confident enough in his subject matter to be able to present a foundation overview of the JC Business curriculum, which is exactly what we require. Not easy to ask a teenager to take tuition during his Summer holidays, I think Luke's personality and style will take the sting out of the work involved! Thank you, Luke!”
