“First Tutors' fees are extortionate. Would not recommend.”

Our fees help cover the cost of identity and reference checks on all of our registered tutors so that you can choose with confidence. Unlike traditional agencies, our fee is a one off payment so you are not charged on top of every hour your tutor teaches. “I found a tutor quite quickly. However I think this company should make it plain to the customer that they charge a service fee upfront. This is not made clear and appears next to the tutor fee as "introduction fee", as if it is a discounted fee charged by the tutor for the first lesson / introduction.”

“I am always happy to drop my two young children off with Haleema, she is always happy and welcoming. They have maintained a happy and playful nature while being taught which is very reassuring. Haleema is also very flexible and helpful I would definitely recommend her.”

“It is not helpful how you must pay PER tutor. You should be able to contact multiple tutors and send through examples of what your course requires and only pay once for the use of the site. It takes too long to message each tutor and wait for a reply and contact them with exam examples, and then leave feedback if they can’t meet your requirements and THEN contact another tutor. Waste of time.”

“Emily was very warm and friendly and very quickly made me feel at ease in her home. After a brief chat to determine what level I was at we proceeded and I felt very confident at the end of the lesson that with Emily to help me and some determination to follow her instructions I will be able to play and read music on the piano. I look forward to my next lesson.”

“I found the whole process with First Tutors easy. I was looking for a local Saxaphone player to purchase some surprise lessons as a guft. The responses from First Tutors and the Teaching Musician were fast and I managed to book a lesson voucher in super quick time. I would not hesitate to use them again.”

“I have really enjoyed working with Adam, he is an excellent tutor. I have learned so much in every lesson and he has a great way of keeping things fun whilst getting a lot of work done. Having had very little acting experience previously, Adam has really helped me gain confidence and improve quickly. I would definitely recommend him!”
