“This was an easy service to locate and use, they were quick to respond and follow up after each stage. My only criticism is that it is not clear when you first use the tutor agent that they require you to pay commission for their service, only finding this out at the very end after making arrangements for the tutoring. They could of charged me anything, luckily it was £25.00”

“I found the website easy to use, with a choice of tutors and the information supplied was helpful in making a choice of tutor. Although the initial communication through the website was not as easy as sending an email directly, I understand the reason for this approach initially. Once we had arranged to meet with the tutor we were able to communicate directly, which was easier.”

“A very accessible, simple and effective way to find a tutor; I previously tried other (word-of-mouth and online) and got nowhere. With First Tutors I found three or four good tutors within 24 hours. Great stuff.”

“Site very easy to use, plenty of choice of tutors in local area. I found Paul for my son to help with his Maths. Paul is very professional and makes Maths fun to learn for my son. My son looks forward to his weekly lessons. And although we have only had a few lessons my sons maths has improved.”

“I booked tutor for GCSE English. Her name was Kiran. Very unreliable,wants to come different times every week. Not sticking to what has been agreed. Gone on 4 weeks holiday,this was not even mentioned when I booked her which is very disappointing considering it's a GCSE student. Not keen on teaching or discussing how child is getting on instead Insisting to go through books. Well we booked you so you can support.”

“Quickly put me in touch with an appropriate tutor close by. Not surprised to have been asked for money but don't remember seeing the (reasonable) cost up front.”

“disappointed with organisation of tutor. the system works well but tutors need to be told that once they give affirmation to a specific time and day, they need to stick to it.... or not commit until they know for sure”
