“My son is preparing for his English GCSE for next year 2018. He is happy as he is learning so many things from Vanessa. He is gaining his confidence too in literature & language. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND VANESSA if you’re looking for English tutor!”

“What a great teacher! We are very happy with the service we have received from Pietro; he was prompt and helpful in our early contacts and managed to provide us with a very important lesson at short notice. He was amazing with my eight year old who loved the lesson and responded really well to his way of teaching. We definitely be continuing with the lessons and would not hesitate to recommend him.”

“It says it charges between £4.99 & £24.99, but even one of the cheaper teachers I was charged £24.99 and when I emailed asking for an explanation, they failed to answer. I als asked why they charge the tutee rather than the tutor, since it is the tutor that is making the money.”

Dear Steve, Thank you for your feedback. You chose a tutor that charged 30 pounds per hour, our intro fee for this is 24.99. If you had chosen a tutor which charges 10 pounds per hour for example then the intro fee would have been 4.99. We did send an email to you explaining the different intro fees on the 19th of Nov at 19:25, please let me know if you didn't receive that email or if you have further questions. We offer tutors with a variety of introduction fees from £4.99 - £24.99 so it shouldn't be hard to find a more affordable one on the site if money is a problem. Please be assured our introduction fee covers more than just the release of the tutor's details. It allows us to cover the cost of security checks on all tutors on the site which include collecting at least two references, photo ID and ensuring they reside in the UK. We believe that security and safety on the site is utmost and gives peace of mind to all parties concerned. “Very good place to find tutors. There may be the occasional communication issues but that is to be expected especially when dealing with different individuals. Online sessions take a little bit longer to get going but they are definitely the way to go as networks get faster and more reliable.”

“I was struggling finding a tutor locally and spent ages searching online. Then a week ago I came across First Tutors. I managed to find an excellent tutor who I was able to contact through the website and within an hour I had heard back. Best of all they were very local and were prepared to travel to me.”

“I found First Tutors very helpful in securing a Russian tutor here in Aberdeen. They put me in touch with a tutor very quickly and from there I have been able to make separate arrangements with this tutor to continue my Russian lessons after my previous tutor has left the area. “I have recently got a tutor for my daughter through First Tutors. This is the first time I am looking for a tutor and doesn't know what process is involved to confirm a tutor through this website. It was quite easy to get in touch with tutor and convey the requirements. However, the fee required to release tutor details came to know at the end of this process which is bit a disappointment. I couldn't look into other websites to compare this as I was in bit hurry to get a tutor. Overall, I didn't have any other issues and the communication was ok.”
