“I really enjoyed my first lesson with Mireille. She is "très sympa" & put me at ease. Mireille tailors the lessons to her students' needs - she assessed my level of competency as well as finding out exactly what I hope to achieve. I would recommend Mireille to anyone - I am looking forward to my next lesson & already feel that I have made progress.”

“I found first tutors a very efficient and useful service. They had a choice of several possible tutors in our area and there were recent reviews available for most of them. Once we had chosen a tutor they also contacted to make sure that the first lesson had been arranged successfully. I would recommend first tutors as an excellent service for other people looking for a tutor.”

“It is a simple website to get around and an efficient process. All subjects seem to be covered. I do feel teachers should politely respond either way because sometimes you are not sure if they are fully booked, away or not available.”

“3 starts because I was successful in finding a tutor. I'd have liked to have given 2 stars because it mentioned no word about payment or what was expected, then once I had messaged a tutor and arranged to meet I found out I had to pay first tutors £25. It hadn't said this anywhere before so I wasn't expecting it. Pretty poor trading standards.”

In addition to this we do also state it at the top of all tuition requests. We operate as a tuition agency and the fee you have paid is the agency fee to receive your tutors contact details. “The tutor, Mark, is really superb. My main criticism is with communication. We seemed to be communicating on two separate sites with you as the intermediary and neither of us was sure whether our messages were getting across. It would have been better if we could have used email early. Apart from that, very satisfied.”
