Thank goodness i found a good tutor because the website was a pain in the neck to navigate. Went through the awful process about 6 months ago so can't remember specifics but generally not user friendly. I've graded them poor and not very poor just because the tutor is excellent.

Sadly, I can't give First Tutors a good review because they didn't support me when a client left unjustified feedback. According to them the fact that I ended our arrangement when she failed to be at home on two occasions as planned was my fault as I didn't make my cancellation policy clear. So, tutors beware, any disgruntled client can say what they like about you and First Tutors will not support you, even when you put across a solid case. Quite worrying really! Other than that I've had lovely parents and tutees, but they just happen to be decent people!

With just one enquiry leading to a tutoring engagement (for just one session!) over the last two to three years, I wish I could be more positive about 1st Tutors. It is more than likely also that new enquirers won't be too interested in the positive reviews that did accompany the students that I have tutored because those reviews are now too old to interest them . I have previously contacted 1st Tutors about the inordinate number of enquirers who just don't respond to offers of help. Having asked 1st Tutors to put more backbone into their chasing of such people, their response that they're afraid of upsetting people who are lacking in consideration from the start, is not encouraging. Sorry, but I had expected rather more opportunities to arise over the time period.

Dear Michael, Thank you for your feedback. I think you may be confused with another agency. You have 5 positive feedback reviews from First Tutors customers so it is not true that you have only obtained one client from our website. I have gone through the history of emails you have sent us over time and am unable to find an email response from our team suggesting that we are afraid to upset people. It is true that some clients fail to respond to requests despite the regular email reminders we send them during the 14 days a request is open.
