“I have used this platform for a number of years as a Tutor. First Tutors has served me well in the past, but looking back now I get the impression that it now is focussed on its own commercial interests these days. Sure all businesses have to make money, yet why ask tutors to pay in order to automatically get to the top of any search made? Are the potential clients made aware of this? In the past I have suggested improvements to the site and received at best a muted response and certainly do not feel valued as an individual by the site.”

“Service was easy to find and utilise. Simple and straightforward process to identify suitable tutors. Easy to make contact with potential tutors and the service sent appropriate communication to aid tutor selection. Very happy overall and would definitely use this service in the future.”

“Nadia arrived on time a d very well prepared. She was very keen to know where my granddaughter was with her school work and looked through all her .aths booms before she began. This us the first lesson but I think it shows great promise for the future.”

“This was our first time looking for a tutor. First Tutors was very user friendly and had a lot of options with respect to specific knowledge and setting up sessions. My son was very happy with his first session and will continue with his tutor. I would highly recommend first tutors!”

“Intro fee a liitle high there should be a discount on the intro fee if you are using more then one tutor. Some tutor don't reply which is not on if someone is listed they should be available for work or a message should said the days they have availability or when they can take students. The two tutor I found are fine but I had to contact about 6 to get 2.”

The fee helps cover the cost of identity and reference checks to ensure peace of mind when making your choice in private tutor. Unlike traditional agencies, we do not charge a fee on top of each lesson so that you save across the full cost of tuition. “Easy to find tutors, and easy to navigate around. The only negative is that we have to pay £7.99 to CONTACT the tutor! That's a bit too much although i paid it.”

“Found First Tutors when searching online for a local maths tutor for my daughter. The site was easy to use and we were able to choose our tutor quickly and easily, there was a photo and biography which made the choice quite simple. The site followed everything up and the instructions of what to do next were easy to follow. Our tutor contacted us quickly, I was very satisfied with the service - would definitely recommend.”
