“Health hazard - vulnerable person held to ransom
Leaving a vulnerable person held to ransom to give authorisation to an a potential unknown cost when they have sewage coming up through their toilet for 2 weeks. Once under duress agreed, they book the plumber 5 minutes before they close leaving it another 24 hours or if they can get an on call plumber 3 time the potential cost. Vulnerable person ended up breaking down and became unwell due to the turmoil and stress.
I feel this very poor customer service with no vulnerable person policy to speak off is shocking and I feel this may go right up to director level. One of the case workers was on chat and a director won't deal with it just said escalate it up the chain of command.
Totally disgusted by this shocking company whose websites values are laughable:-
Trust (We’re open and honest – we keep the promises we make.) - wrong on all levels
Respect (We seek an inclusive environment which promotes empathy and care for each other.) - again no sympathy and heartless especially to vulnerable person.
Integrity (We have strong moral principles. We do as we say.) - They don't and I would say more like bullying a vulnerable person.
Innovation (We welcome change as a way to nurture a growth mindset.)
Delivery (We work together to deliver the most effective solution in a timely manner.) - Hmmm 2 weeks and escalated for the last 24 hours and still no resolve doesn't seem timely to me.”
“If I could give them zero I would. High charges but if u want move house they scam you and ignore you for the most part and then they lie and lie again. They broke my house chain, causing hundreds of pounds of additional costs. They lose money Sent to them even if the bank confirms it. You can spend hours on the phone to get through to them and when u speak to them they are as much use as a chocolate fireguard. For most people they have a captive market, but if u can avoid them, do. I can't believe that any Company can be so inept, so I can only presume that this is by design.”
“Awful company- awful customer service- expect to talk to a person who has no idea what they are doing. They will charge you through the nose on services without providing you with proof of what they are charging you for.”
“Really poor customer service. When they have your money they wont refund you the surplus and make you jump through hoops. If you are one day late on paying them or they are in a deficient its a very different story, they demand the money, admin fees, solicitors letters etc.... Really poor company to deal with.”
“I purchased a property that took nearly 2 years to complete due to the massive delays in First Port responding to my solicitors with property queries ( 6 months to answer 2 questions as one example). Due to this delay the property was sat empty for this time so when I moved in the boiler didn't work (no heating or hot water in February with temperatures of -2C) Still 4 weeks later still no authorisation from First Port for my plumber to install a new boiler despite repeatedly calling First Port who say they are waiting for another department to authorise this!!!!
Absolutely disgusting to leave a single young woman with no heating or hot water in the Winter because of inept communication and lack of any reasonable procedures!!”
“Absolute Joke of a company. I raised three queries over a month ago after being sent a "late payment" letter for charges that they haven't actually invoiced.
The road on our estate has a physical drop that has already damaged multiple vehicles and they've left it that way for 6 months so far. They've now closed off our query after sending an email saying "we haven't been able to respond in time" as if that's an acceptable result?!
We still haven't had an invoice for the estate charges but First Port think it's acceptable to charge an extra £80 admin fee on top of the balance that we've been querying for 6 weeks. Complete shambles!”

No communication. Every time a matter is raised they don't want to deal with it.

“I'm truly disappointed and I'm looking for an answer as all operators cannot help.
On the 1st of October 2022, I have accidently transferred £1500 the firsport account. Firstport looks after a development that I have a property.
I have requested the money back, it apparently the money never reached, despite the confirmation of my bank statement and my bank confirming also.
I'm out of the country for work, thjs money is affecting my family financially, as my wife is in the UK with a two babies.
I need someone, director, to please return the money.”
“Poor expensive management lacking knowledge and experience. Just look at their website,who wants or is willing to work for this sinking company. Their only thought is to look after themselves. There have been problems with this company (Formally First Port) for years and the rot is still in the barrel but believe me they know how to extract money from residents.”
“This is the worst management company I've ever known I have been in my property for 9 months and I am still waiting for the certificate of security certification so that I can sell the property that has to be registered in my name and to get that registered in my name I have to have a certificate of registration I have emailed them I have phoned them my solicitor has sent all of the forms necessary with the monies and still waiting for it if you try to phone the Luton office you get forwarded to South Africa a call centre and they cannot send emails and they can't make calls it's a joke they need reporting all for awful company”

“First port put us on a payment plan for the extra work that was required on our property, they then proceeded to issue legal charges to us when the amount owed was not paid in full, despite an existing arrangement. I would not recommend anyone deal with this company.”

It would appear if you forward or deliver a letter or and the follow it up with an email to the CEO of FirstPort regarding ‘ FINANCE ‘ and ask for the TRUTH, the WHOLE TRUTH and NOTHING BUT THE TRUTH you do not get a reply.
The only way to get correspondence from Firstport is to delay the payment of their EXTORTIONATE MANAGEMENT FEES by a number of days and you will find that you will make contact.Is that correct FirstPort? YES OR NO.That says something about how FirstPort now works from the TOP downwards.”

I believe every family pays a different amounts even in the same building. How is this fair?
We can't see any work done and we face issues every day:
Our buildings are only hoovered twice a month, they exclude walls and windows. Ever since living here the walls have never been painted or cleaned and are full of marks/ scratches and dirt. The light sensors are faulty for weeks now. They don't pick up on neighbours bad practice- some neighbours leave their items on the stair way of the apartments (which is a fire hazard and a communal area that should be respected). There is litter around the estate that gets ignores and left, the grass around the estates is all dry due to not being maintained. Not to mentioned the wood work on the apartments (as part of the architecture) and where the bins are stored is all dried out and looks awful.
I hope this can be viewed by the company and do something about it. It's been far too long and this is a pure disrespect to all families in the estate that pay crazy amounts every month for nothing to be done.”

The worst company ever! A proper FRAUD company. The building is going to ruin. The lift is not maintained at all. The security gate has not been working for a year now. The emergency corridor lights are not working. All issues have been reported many times by residents. The cleaning service changed from once a week to every two weeks (the same price). One thing we always get on time is our bills... In 10 years, the monthly fee has gone up by 300% and will continue to rise.

“Due to years of bad experiences with Firstport (also known previously as Peverel/OM property management) I would be unlikely to ever purchase a property 'managed' by them. There have been constant issues with lack of maintenance - repairs, cleaning, gardening etc. - and the various name changes by this company have not resulted in an improvement of management skills. Firstport are unable to be reactive or timely to issues brought to their attention, and when they do react any works carried out are more likely to be sub-standard, overpriced or both. Avoid!!!”
