“I ordered both Base and Signature Modin plank samples. The Signature is much thicker than Base and feels softer under bare feet. All of the samples looked very woodlike. An installer bidding on my project was especially impressed with the Signature sample's 40 mil wear layer and Lifetime Residential Warranty. He said that none of his top brand products even came close to that quality. In addition, he didn't know that a 40 mil wear layer was even available to residential consumers. Then he asked me about the cost. When I told him $4.50 per sq. ft., he replied that I should get it; but not to tell his company that he told me to buy a competitor's product. A dustless tile removal company representative also was equally impressed with this product. These were two different gentlemen from two different companies who came to my home on different days. I plan to use the Elmstead Signature for my project.”

“Ordered seven samples. I have been reluctant to consider vinyl flooring because it strikes me as a commercial/hospital product. But the samples changed my mind. They are heavy, sturdy and really do look like wood. We will be ordering shortly.”

“RESEARCH PROCESS: We began the process of communicating with Flooret in early November of 2021. I'm a researcher when it comes to making a big purchase, so I had a lot of questions. All of the chat conversations I had with staff were very helpful. I ordered floor samples to check out, and they came very quickly. The packaging of the samples was very nice. We got samples in the Signature, Base, and Craftsman lines. The samples we received for the Catura and Raeburn looked indistinguishable in color. We found the Soho to be very yellow, and Kingswood competed with our existing wood accents too much. My husband was leaning towards the Craftsman line, but there were no pictures of it installed and no reviews. We ended up going with that line somewhat out of necessity, as the Nakan color we liked was not available in Base at the time, and I did not like the deep bevels of the wider boards. ORDER PROCESS: When we placed our order for 44 boxes (~884 sq ft) on November 15, the flooring showed it was a preorder. We had a target date to hit, so I was worried about not having the proper time to install the floor. I chatted with customer service about it and received a very helpful call that provided me with details I didn't previously know about the warehouse location and estimated shipping time to my location. We received the flooring December 3, but our order was short 5 boxes. We received those boxes December 9. INSTALL PROCESS: My only other experience with installing vinyl was cheap, flimsy boards from a local discount store. The way Flooret boards sound when they click into each other is a very clear indicator they're seated properly. The quality of the connection feels very good. We did notice that sometimes the boards would gap slightly as we went down the line, but usually tapping in the next row tightened it up. Sometimes there were slight gaps that never seemed to fully close up, usually angled on the short end of the board. Fingers crossed those don't gap worse with time. I'll be monitoring them and be sure to update my review if I notice them. We had to work backwards a couple times and did not find it overly difficult. We also noticed that we had very little waste thanks to the narrower boards, which was great. ABOUT NAKAN CRAFTSMAN SPECIFICALLY: I absolutely love the look of the Craftsman line. Unlike the 6" x 48" Base line, which is more typical vinyl dimensions, these do not immediately register as vinyl since the width and length is more akin to real wood. The color of Nakan is a very nice neutral wood, and only maybe 3-4 boards have really obvious grain/eye patterns that we had to be careful about repeating. Probably due to the narrower boards as well, we felt like we had a lot of different board patterns to pick from.”

“I ordered the cut samples at first to narrow down colors and then ended up getting 2 each of the full planks of Nakan and Kingswood. It is so hard to decided because they are both so beautiful! I took a sharp metal object to the samples to see how scratches look. When you wipe with a wet towel you can hardly notice them. The shipping was very fast. Looking forward to replacing all of our carpet with flooret base.”

“I ordered both short-form and full-size samples from Flooret, and I am very pleased with what they have provided. The smaller size allowed me to get an initial idea about the color and floor orientation, and the larger size allowed me to see exactly how to assemble the planks -- I wanted to be sure that I was able to do a decent DYI job.”

“Terrible experience. Flooring arrived damaged. They are forcing us to ship back the flooring before we get refunded- easier said than done with having to strap them back to a pallet and organize pickup around winter weather conditions in the Northeast. I have zero desire to spend yet more time and energy in shipping back product they sent to me damaged. Extremely disappointed with this company on multiple levels.”

“What can you say about samples? Well, I can say is that the material felt stronger than comparable Karastan materials. I did not find another flooring material with a thicker "wear layer" at 40mm than Flooret - others typically fall into the 6mm to 20mm range. With ordering multiple samples we felt like we were able to evaluate the locking feature of the samples. Everything connected nicely. We found a small sample we liked so then ordered a large plank. I recommend this before the final purchase so you can see the material in various light conditions. Flooret customer service has been exceptional. I referred my brother to Flooret for his project and he liked what he saw so he is purchasing 500 square feet. Shipping from WA to FL works out to about $.40 cents a square foot - seems fair in today's economic conditions. Assuming you find the color and texture you like, the flooring material in the Signature series appears to be a good value. Good job Flooret!”

“Amazing! As soon as I took the samples out my husband decided to test their durability. Hit it hard with a hammer… it did not dent, chip or break! A knife will scratch the west layer if you really bear down but even then the scratch is not very visible. Can’t wait to replace my old worn out parquet with this!”
