What’s the best way to cut Modin signature molded square nosing?
Asked by Chrissy (8 months ago)
How many mm thick is the top wood veneer layer in the engineered hardwood flooring (I.e. anza)?
Asked by Maia (8 months ago)
So a reviewer here says not to install in humid states. Is this true? Looking to use product in entire house.
Asked by Deborah Borchert (1 year ago)
I have samples and I am considering Anza engineered hardwood. I would like to read your customers' reviews on this specific product as well as all of your engineered hardwood products. I seem to only see reviews on vinyl products. Can you direct me? I would also like to see any competitor product comparisons for engineered hardwood. Please advise and thanks, Myra

How well does modin craftsman flooring work with hydronic under floor radiant heating?
Asked by Gary Fisher (2 years ago)
ModinCraftsman planks can be installed over in-floor radiant heating systems provided the subfloor surface does not exceed 85°F at any point. If installing on top of a new radiant heat system, make sure the new system has been active for at least 48 hours. Some radiant systems will have a temperature "spike" the first time they are used. The initial floor temperature should not exceed 70°F for 24 hours prior to and 48 hours after installation. Thereafter the temperature should be gradually increased to the desired setting, up to but not exceeding 85°F.

Is an underlay recommended for Silvan Anza?
Asked by Carol (2 years ago)
Hello! We recommend an underlayment that is approximately 2mm-5mm thick with a minimum compressive strength (CS) of > 60 kPa. A foam one is excellent, but a cork one is the best.

It looks like the trim I would order is backordered. What additional shipping cost do you charge for the trim if the trim isn't able to ship with the flooring?
Asked by Melissa (2 years ago)
Trim and transitions ship for free! There's no additional shipping cost if they ship separately from your flooring, or if you need to order more trim and transitions later on.

What has been your experience with the bull nose stair edging ? We own rental properties and have not had positive experiences with transitions or stair products.
Asked by Mary (2 years ago)
We have had tons of customers install our stair nosings without any issues (including in rental properties). Our stair pieces are made from actual planks of flooring, so they are just as sturdy and durable as the floors themselves!

Have decided on Kingswood Signature for my entire 2300 sq ft house including stairs. I’m having the entire installation professionally done. The contractor is working up a cost presently. I’m including closets, 3 bathrooms ( no basement). I read your recommendation somewhere that said allow 10% overage ... is this still reasonable for a job like mine? Finally, so I can plan ahead, how many boxes of Kingswood Signature would I receive for approx 2400 sq ft product. I want it installed on stairs with your bullnose accessory... any comments ? Thanks in advance.
Asked by Richard H Weese (3 years ago)
Hi Richard! We recommend ordering an 8% overage to account for any waster during installation. If you use the square footage calculator found on any of our product pages, you can check a box to automatically add that 8% to your order. For 2,400 SF of Kingswood Signature, we recommend purchasing 116 boxes (that includes the 8% overage). Hope that helps!
