“Fly with Greg quickly became our benchmark for our growth as pilots. Both my wife and I are paraglider pilots with 350 and 550 thermal flight hours respectively, mainly in north west Italy. The growth that this online flight academy has given us has been remarkable both in terms of flight technique, safety aspects and terrain/weather assessment. Greg has become a true friend to discuss our common passion with, as he is always willing to share his considerable experience with all of us members. All this is well supported by his friendliness and sense of humour. I find the 'Ask Greg' sessions very useful, I wish they were more frequent (although I understand they are challenging to carry out), because the answers and suggestions given come from his knowledge as a pilot based on real flying situations. Well done Greg, keep up the good work!

Thanks Fabio, it's great to hear how much value you're both getting out of the academy. I'm giving it 100% and will try to do more livestream Q&As but I have to manage my creative energy so I can also produce the core lessons and raise the flight levels for everyone.
“I view a subscription to "Fly With Greg" as essential for any paragliding pilot, irrespective of experience. It's difficult to recommend it highly enough. If you are going to subscribe to anything, this should be your first choice.”
“I've been a Fly with Greg subscriber since its roll out several years ago. At that time I was just starting out on my paragliding journey. The video catalogue and the live AMAs have been (and continue to be) an extreemly valuable part of my progression; and, as my piloting has grown, so have the offerings on the site.
Here's why the sevice has value to me:
- Instructor knowledge: Greg has decades of experience flying and teaching flying and this deep well of knowledge shines through in every video.
- Instructional design: When I stated and Greg was rolling out the various and sundry videos, I didn't see the whole picture.. until I did; and when I saw it, I was absolutely delighted. I love good instructional design and Greg's is next level. At first I thought that they were just a collection of 'how to' videos on discrete topics (useful for sure but not unique). As things developed I realized that there are important instructional threads that run through every leson and, as I started connecting them, things that I was experiencing in the air began to make a whole lot more sense.
- Video quality: the videos are so good. The audio is crystal clear and the video editing is really top shelf.
- Suport: the regular AMAs and the Community Chat both offer great ways to get specific questions answered. Often someone will post a video and ask, "why did this happen?" These videos often get turned into full-length breakdown videos in the main catalogue.
- Catalouge depth: I can pick any topic and there are dozens of related videos (ordered in an incremental, step by step, approach). The more recent videos cover topics that pertain to me right now (xc and comps) but I often find myself going back and starting certain progressions over. With the benifit of a bit more context, I find subtilties and gems I missed my first time through.
As I close out my sixth year in this amazing sport I am extreemly grateful for the instructors and mentors who have helped me progress. It's been (and continues to be) an amazing journey and Greg's instruction played a huge part in it. Thank you Greg.”
“Greg's academy is fantastic! I would recommend it to anyone starting paragliding, as a supplement to school and also after school to progress in a good way. It's full of great advice, deep knowledge and experience. It has really helped me progress, reflect on my (thankfully cheap) mistakes and build confidence. The whole package with the video catalog, the live streams and the community section is unique and well worth the money.”
“Hi,
FlywithGreg is a great place to learn, very comprehensive. Especially to escape the local flying school bubble and have different opinions is great to learn.
Ideas to add even more value:
- create sort of an "Graduate"-level with a reduced fee, as have reached a certain level and consumed most of the content, but can stay in the community.
E.g. after 24-months or so...
- Maybe ask Pal for some acro content :)
Having learned from you in person was also a great opportunity.
regards,
Philipp”
