“I bought the advent calendar box of food (£120?) for my mum. Unfortunately it was not clear that it was an advent calendar so when she opened up the packaging she dismantled the calendar too. She said it was hard to get the box within the box out and there was nothing to indicate it was an advent calendar. All the food goodies are lovely, however. She just got them all at once instead of spread over 24 days!”

“Let me start I have no problem with their prices and the products seem fair. Unfortunately they only sent 1 of my 2 presents, mistakes happen it’s fine. But I could not get hold of anyone to rectify, had to really push and make noise for them to send it. I’d have been happy for a refund but I couldn’t even get hold of them for that! When I pay £5 delivery I do expect tracking and a decent time frame these days and when you order a month ahead of Christmas you’d think you were safe. I reached out on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, phone and email and it was like pulling teeth! It’s a shame they want to blame coronavirus except it looks like they’ve had this problem before and not learnt.”

“unfortunately following many promises goods did not ship or arrive, even though order was placed in ample time. In the end had to request a refund at last minute as no reply to final attempts to chase an ETA, and left with very limited time pre xmas to find alternative gifts. 1st experience unfortunately very poor, and could not recommend, or use again going forward based on this experience. Real shame as the quality of product certainly looks good ... if only you could get it!”

“Very disappointed. Ordered a Christmas present weeks before Christmas. Boroughbox shouldn’t have accepted my order if they couldn’t deliver in time. No warning from them, just disappointed friend who couldn’t understand why his present hadn’t arrived got in touch with me, when nothing arrived. Now they say they can’t do anything till after 4th Jan.”

“Amazing idea for a Xmas gift we used as part of a hamper pack that it’s theme was ‘travel’. Flavours from around the world great pack sizes and great variety. I’m sure they’ll love it. Will be ordering again. Quick delivery and nice package box suitable for gift”

“Absolute joke! Ordered my brothers Christmas present on 5th of December and still not received! I have tried multiple times to contact you with absolutely no response. As it now the 23rd I will assume that this order is not coming. I want a full refund please.”
