“I've been using soap from this place for a month now. I'm never using anything else. Absolutely top notch stuff. If my word isn't good enough then my two teenage daughters have also demanded I keep the stock up. It's not the cheapest on the market but you get what you pay for.”

“The soaps arrived this morning, as expected. The packaging was really eco friendly and could be recycled, which is great. As for the soaps....WOW! these smell amazing and it is wonderful to have the aroma of Provence already filling the bathroom. My wife and I are delighted with the purchase and will shortly be ordering again to get some Christmas presents for family. Thank you so much for your prompt and efficient service. I would recommend your family business to anyone.”

“The BEST company ever. Prompt service, excellent delivery times, always at the end of the phone for any queries. The products are outstanding and fantastic value for money. Every purchase I have made, has done exactly as it says, with the added bonus of chemical free fragrances and ingredients. If I could give 10 stars, I would. Thank you to Victoria and her team. My cleaning store cupboard has taken on a new look and gorgeous fragrance. Soaps awaiting use, stored in my linen cupboard, have also the added bonus of beautifully fragrancing my linen. The products last well and a minimal amount is necessary to have shiny, chemical free home. A massive thank you to a company well worth a mention.”

“The worst customer service we have ever experienced. Shocking lady based in Harrogate who appears to run the business based on accusations when it is their own goods out department at fault. Accused of lying, deceit and then when offering a solution of either a credit or to ship with our next order (when we were willing to order again before being treated/accused like a criminal would be) was advised that they obviously can't please and to go to Amazon as we obviously don't like buying from small producers (we try to do shop small where possible). If you like good customer service, I'd highly suggest going elsewhere.”

Hi Andy As you are aware we had various communications from your wife before you called us on Friday evening. At no point did we accuse her of lying and at every step we offered solutions and explained what we had already done...all of which were rejected. We concluded that in the interests of true customer service and resolving any dispute the only option was to refund her entire order as there was simply no other option that was acceptable to her. She wasn't happy with this either and asked you to call us. We asked you on the phone what you would like us to do/or to have done and you weren't able to give any answer to this other than throwing accusations our way about poor service. Thank you for sharing your feelings, we do hope you are enjoying using your products. FS

“Had some great soaps previously but I bought two Basilic soap bars as I love this scent, sadly there was no scent of Basil at all and the amount of green dye that came out of the soap stained the bathtub. Not sure if green dye is added to these bars? Or that’s normal? However too green and no scent. Wouldn’t buy this again.”

Hi Nathan Sorry to read you are disappointed with your soaps. Yes, this range do include 'colour', a key part in French Market Soaps is the range of colours when you wee them en mass. We do have ranges free from colour, do contact us privately and we can help you find something more suited to your preferences. It's odd you think there is no scent, these are normally quite strongly fragranced. We will look into this and contact you. Thanks for your feedback. FS x

“A lovely company and a real pleasure to shop with. The soaps are beautiful with very natural fragrance, excellent selection. Quality of a very high standard. Would make a lovely gift but couldn’t part with this little box of treasures! Would definitely repurchase and recommend.”

“100% amazing customer service, I bought my first bottle but the nozzle on it wouldnt spray, they emailed me within a couple of hours apologising and said they have already sent a replacement! Since getting the new bottle it does spray perfectly and I have been wearing it most evenings and so far no bites!! And no toxic deet in them all natural! So happy I found your company, will be purchasing again.”

“I purchased your Eau de toilette Patchouli from Grasse and very disappointed ! I have always loved the heady aroma of Patchouli from back in the 70's............ (I'm 68 ) but It does not smell anything like it ! ! Far to sweet and heavy, so feel I've wasted my money ! ! ! Love your soaps BTW.”

Bonjour Christina Thanks for your feedback. We are sorry you are disappointed with your product. interpretations of Patchouli really do vary, that's clear just from our soaps from different brands. “Citron, French Soap with Organic Shea Butter, 125g Over the past 10 years I’ve been happily buying French soaps at markets in France. Due to health issues I’m unable to travel so was happy to find this company online. I gave it as a gift but the recipient hasn’t been impressed. The yellow colour has all but disappeared along with the scent of lemon. Very embarrassed to have given it to her. Value”
