“I couldn't get the kefir grains to work, either in milk or as a basis for ginger beer, but most probably this was due to my incompetence, not to any fault on your part. however I would be very grateful for the opportunity to have another go, if you can see your way to re-sending, because I am impressed by your service and I am not about to post a bad review as a means of blaming you for what is likely to be my fault. I promise to take greater care with the next consignment that you send!”

“This is the second packet of greek yoghurt I killed the other one after some months. I works as good as the last one takes a good 12 hours to set.”

“When it arrived, the product was beautifully sealed in a disconcertingly small package. We weren't quite sure what to expect having made yogurt from fresh live commercial products in the past so were careful to follow the very good instructions on the web site. Worked perfectly so now we have a continuous run of Greek yogurt from the last made batch that is noticeably superior to the commercial stuff - loads more interesting ideas on the site to follow up too ... Credit to Freshly Fermented for a quick and helpful service - we will be trying more of their offerings !!”

“I ordered two mesophilic cultures, which arrived promptly and seem to be working well. Took a while to work first time but now culturing in under 24 hours. Excellent products (buttermilk and villi yoghurt), easy to make and would recommend.”

“Really pleased with the Greek yoghurt starter. I have made at least a batch every week since buying it and after about ten batches so far there has been no loss of thickness or performance. The starter also makes a very good French Style yoghurt if it is set in small pots and not strained. My husband won't let me buy shop-bought yoghurt anymore as he doesn't think it is as good.”

“Being a Swede living abroad I often miss food from home - and fil is one of the top items. Usually, I'd have to order online, pay a LOT of p&p and just have it as an occasional treat. Until I found Freshly Fermented and bought a starter culture. Very good price, free shipping and fast delivery...and I also found a lot of other cultures I'm planning to buy in the near future. Now I have a constant supply of fil, a well-balanced gut flora and life is sooo much better!”
