Got a Question?

Which account would you recommend for a trader who started trading a few months ago?
Asked by Edgar L. (1 week ago)
I would recommend you to go with the classic one. If you started some time ago, maybe you haven't really grasped the whole idea of spreads, slippages and how they are an integral part of the market. Therefore, trading with spreads is better for your development and education, unless you already have a high lot short term strategy where you open a lot of trades on high volume. So, roll with classic for some time, maybe work out a strat for yourself, and if you will really need an acc with locked spreads, then you can switch to ECN.

What are the key features of FXcess that set it apart from other trading platforms?
Asked by Jairo (1 week ago)
FXcess offers a robust trading experience with a range of features designed for bothnovice and experienced traders. The platform’s user interface is intuitive, making it easy to navigate.

Is it worth getting account with Fxcess because of free VPS on 5k+ USD accs, or is it better to pay for VPS myself?
Asked by Devamany Pakiam (1 week ago)
Well, if your trading account is bigger than 5k, then sure, why not get the free vps too. But if not, then you might just go ahead to pay for the VPS separately, I guess it all depends on the size of the account you trade with.

What makes FXCess an attractive broker?
Asked by Nils Letzel (2 weeks ago)
Good question. I think that it's impossible to name only one characteristic. In order to make a conclusion about Fxcess, it's necessary to consider totality of all trading conditions and tools that this broker offers to clients. I can say that Fxcess attracted me because even a Classic account has favorable conditions. I don't pay commissions, and thanks to the narrow spreads, I can trade profitably using intraday trading. And I also got bonuses when opened trading account. It was really helpful for me. Fxcess has other advantages, such as minimum deposit (only $10) If you are really interested, I recommend you learn more about this company
Answered by Ralf Kunze (1 week ago)
oh, dunno, to be honest. probably the fact that there is metatrader 4, access to all markets, several ways to deposit and withdraw money + a couple of accounts and nice pricing. i reckon there are no other things to love fxcess broker for and the point is that... these are primary things that a typical retail trader needs. fxcess just satisfies needs of traders and this is it.

Please! Can someone explain in simple words what is the advantage of ECN execution that this broker offers?
Asked by Saiful Zuraidi (2 months ago)
The spreads are tight, the commissions are low, and then the execution of the trades are very fast... no delays. There are many more advantages of using an ECN account, but these are the major ones.

Which deposit bonuses did you get when you were making your first deposit, guys?
Asked by R. Herrera (2 months ago)
Power bonus is the dopest imho. I used it and got 40% to the depo which was a cool addition to my savings that I deposited. It can't be withdrawn, but it's silly to think that a broker would give away bonuses to everyone and they would withdraw money. AML policy kicks is. But I managed to increase dpeo up to 20% within several months and have already withdrawn money. All in all... Power bonus is ma boy.
Answered by J. Pastrana (1 month ago)
I think these change from time to time, but I got 40% Power Bonus. Isn't that what everyone else gets?? Now i'm scared I missed something xDD 40% is still more than enough though, for me it was 200 free bucks. Used VISA, not sure if I'm dumb or not.
Answered by Santiago (1 month ago)
I would really like to know, are these promotions and bonuses of any real help to traders?
Asked by Horado Arcila (2 months ago)
Of course they are, but you should still know how to earn profits. Because you just can't go ahead and withdraw the bonus, that would be a cheat. With a bonus, you simply get more equity to trade.
Answered by Lorenzo G (2 months ago)
I simply can't understand… Why some traders don't recommend using deposit bonuses?
Asked by Jacobo (2 months ago)
uhm... I reckon everything is because some traders wanna get a freebie, while when they detect that bonuses aren't withdrawable, they believe that these bonuses aren't worth any attention, lmao. mb, it's also connected with the situation, when you deposit a small of money, get the same or half of it in the form of bonus, you start overplaying, you know. this is what not recommended in trading, traders should treat it seriously, as it's serious bizz, bro.

Should they try adding MT5 or cTrader to their roster, in your opinion?
Asked by Oliver Blanda (3 months ago)
Of course, this is just my opinion, but I do not think that MetaTrader 5 trading platform is better than MT4. Yes, MT5 has some tools that make trading more convenient. For example, one-click trading tool. But on MT4, you can install custom tool that will perform such functions. The same applies to many other features. As I said, MT5 in my opinion is no better than MT4. As for cTrader, it is possible that adding this platform to the list may appeal to some tenders. So it might be a good idea.
Answered by David Garcia (3 months ago)
They definitely should, at the same time, they have MetaTrader 4 which is no worse than its descendant and cTrader. It has a wide pool of instruments for analysis, you can analyze several charts at once, you can algo trade on this platform and you can easily download it on your mobile to trade on the go. Basically, MT4 covers basic needs for trading, I would even say with a vengeance. So, maybe they will add some alternatives, but I am sure that it's more optional than necessary.

Which method of depositing funds is better to use from security point of view? Which one is the most reliable?
Asked by Roberto Xirau (3 months ago)
Wire transfers are usually very safe, but the issue with them is that they take more time than the other methods to complete. As for card payments, they are instantaneous. They do not have as much safety as bank wire transfers, but they are also very safe.

Is the fee of $4.5 per lot round-turn on the ECN account type considered high or reasonable?
Asked by Juan Juan (3 months ago)
I would say rather reasonable. There are few traders who trade standard lots, because it requires a lot of margin. If you trade 0.01 lots, then this commission amounts to just... 0.04 cent per opening and closing one position. It's not that much and I suppose Fxcess broker knows that this fee isn't high so that is the reason why they provide such an account with this size of the commission. It's just another evidence to the broker's cost-efficiency.
Answered by Alejandro Ramos (3 months ago)
Are you ok with their funding methods, is it enough for you or you wish the offer would be broader?
Asked by Didac Freixa (3 months ago)
I'm not sure if other traders do the same as me, but I can tell you about my experience. A few years ago, I used bank card for first time to deposit my trading account. From that moment on, I use only this method. As for Fxcess, this broker has excellent conditions for using bank cards as a payment method. So, I think that other methods also work well.
Answered by Carlos Santana (3 months ago)
Have you used their other platforms? Good to trade? Any thoughts?
Asked by Gustavo S (4 months ago)
They have 2 platforms apart from standard MT4: 1. PMAM 2. FXcess mobile app. PMAM is more for an experienced trader, who needs to manage bulk trades for different MT4 accounts. A great option for professionals managing client accounts. This is probably not you, judging from your questions. FXcess mobile app is actually decent, even though not many people use it. Very clean UI, easy to login and check trades. They just updated it last month. Unfortunately, cannot trade on it. Instead they allow you to use mobile MT4. You can set buy-stops and stop-losses, there are 3 types of charts, around 30 indicators. Makes it feel safer when the market becomes volatile while you are away. Mobile version obviously cant compete with full desktop MT4 in terms of functionality and indicators, but whenever I have to trade on the go, this is what I go for. Meanwhile, mobile app from FXcess is used mostly for deposits and withdrawals.

What are the proofs of the broker's legality and reliability?
Asked by T.Dengra (4 months ago)
Look for the proofs online and also try the broker on the demo. A picture worth more than a thousand words as they say. You can listen to numerous traders online but until you trade it yourself, you won’t be able to understand if the broker is fully reliable.

What do you prefer most to trade on: mobile app or desktop MT4?
Asked by Juan (5 months ago)
Hm. It depends… Sometimes I trade via app and sometimes I trade on the desktop MT4 I don’t know. Both ways are good for different purposes.
Answered by A. Delgado (5 months ago)
I would prefer to trade through remote control, haha, just joking dude. Honestly, I prefer to trade through desktop MT4 because it is more convenient and the charts are more visible. I can also react to immense volatility on the financial markets faster than through mobile applications.

What is better from the point of security: bank transfer or bank card?
Asked by H. Cortes (5 months ago)
Man, choose whatever you wish. Everything that is connected to bank unless these are crypto payments are highly secure, because money passes through tons of stages until they get to your account. Trust banks. But if selecting a payment method from these two, then I would go for bank card, even though bank transfers are more secure. Depositing funds via card is just faster than via transfer.

Can I make deposits and withdrawals through crypto?
Asked by Erick Kulas (6 months ago)
Unfortunately nope, you can’t make deposits and withdrawals through crypto. There are only two ways to make these transactions through VISA/MASTERCARD and bank transfer, but these ways are the most common and reliable.

do u guys know whether they plan to add some more trading platforms, and, actually do u need at least one more?
Asked by Marc Bustos (7 months ago)
for me it's not of much matter. I mean, I trust mt4 and I know that this is the platform that will never set you up. such things as order execution and other technical stuff go from the broker, I know, but from the point of presence of indicators, drawing tools, possibility to install plugins and whatnot - mt4 is ahead of the whole planet. i ain't need any alternative. mb, it will be good to test something interesting, you know, just for the sake of the new experience, but not more.

What is the level of spread in metals, especially in gold?
Asked by reno ceniceros (7 months ago)
Nice question. Well, it depends on the account type. There are two account types on Fxcess, the Classic one and ECN. The main difference between them is the execution style and the spread consequently. The classic one comes with wider spreads and the ECN account undeniably has tiger spreads. The spread of Gold is hard to determine. This is a highly volatile instrument and the spread depends even more on the market conditions. Usually on the classic account, the spread of Gold is around 40 points. It is a reasonable spread and would be within the industry standards.

How's the customer support, what is the level of their knowledge?
Asked by Alfredo L. (7 months ago)
You know, Fxcess support won’t give you any successful trading strategies which is a big minus lolapart from that they can be relied on
Answered by Prospero Daza (7 months ago)
Level of knowledge:D They are knowledgable I reckon. Speaking seriously, then I once contacted them to understand how to pass through verification, as there were some troubles with documents upload, they guided me through the whole process, explained everything step by step and most importantly, their answer was timely. I wasn't forced to wait a couple of days or even more for the response. I believe they really work out every penny they are paid, otherwise there would be a lot of complaints ?

I want to open an ECN account but I don't know what it is. Can someone explain it in simple words?
Asked by Vitaya Sepsook (9 months ago)
ECN stands for Electronic Communication Network.I hope i interpreted it correctly. And in a nutshell what it does is it connects buyers and sellers in one network, bypassing any intermediaries. Therefore making the pricing for the traders much cheaper and the execution much more favorable. So if you are seeking for narrow spreads and lightning fast execution of your orders then you should definitely go for the ECN account of Fxcess.

How did you become convinced of the fxcess broker reliability?
Asked by Tek S. (9 months ago)
There are several ways to convince yourself of a broker’s reliability. First, you must check the regulation status of the broker, which is an easy task with FXCess. It is regulated and the details about their licence are displayed on their website. Then explore the trading conditions and test them through trading on a demo account. See if they deliver what they promise regarding the trading conditions. And finally, check the broker’s reputation among traders by researching and reading reviews and customer feedback.

Are the website spreads similar to the real time trading spreads of the broker?
Asked by Pepe (9 months ago)
As far as I know Fxcess official website shows minimum spreads and average spreads for all the assets. And those spreads are constantly changing due to the market conditions. So it’s hard to know for me what spreads you see when you are writing your question. But in general I would say yes the spreads are pretty much the same in real trading. As always keep track of all the main economic events releases and don’t trade during those of you want the tightest spreads possible.
Answered by chnipha (9 months ago)
It’s not clear to me what you meant exactly by “website spreads”. I guess you had in mind the Foreign Exchange Currency Pairs table… well, If my guess was right then YES, those quotes are real-time quotes and the spreads are the same as the ones you see when you log in to their trading platform.

Can I trade stocks on MT4 of Fxcess?
Asked by S. Saetang Jr. (9 months ago)
What? I am a little bit gobsmacked by your question. Well let me answer it, if Fxcess broker has only one trading platform, which is MT4. And since it has stocks in the list of available instruments. Then we can assume with 1000% certainty that you can trade stocks using MT4. don’t thank me.

How to start using the PMAM platform of Fxcess?
Asked by Busara (10 months ago)
Do you really need a PMAM account is the main question here. Usually, this type of account is intended to simplify the trading experience of more advanced traders with more than one trading account and for those who manage accounts for other people. However, If you still want to open a PMAM account the process is straightforward. Navigate to the PMAM tab on their website, click the “Open Account” button and follow the instructions. It’s not complicated at all, you just need to set up your mother-account and later add as many accounts as you wish.

Are the spreads on the Classic account good enough to choose this option to avoid paying commissions?
Asked by Hamisi (10 months ago)
Well, the main advantage of the Classic account type is that you don’t pay any trading commission. I personally prefer the Classic account over the ECN account. I am quite satisfied with the spreads, I would say they are within the industry standards. However, the ECN account has advantages as well. Cost-effectiveness does not always mean not paying trading commissions. The spreads are actually some kind of trading commission you pay. In the end, it depends on your trading strategy. If you like to hold your trades for a longer time, then a pip or two doesn’t really bother you. But if you are a scalper and you fight for each pip and trade with a significant trade size, then probably it is better for you to opt for the ECN account.

What type of documents do I need to register a real account with FXcess?
Asked by Mateo Romero (11 months ago)
Nothing unusual. If you have registered a real account elsewhere, they ask for the same standard documents for verification of your identity. If you haven't gone through this process yet, you should prepare a copy of your passport, or ID card - which will be proof of your identity and citizenship, and you will be asked to provide proof of your address. For this, you can upload a utility bill or a bank statement where the address and your name are visible. The rest is a form that you need to fill out with your personal details. That’s all. Good luck.

Are the payments here fast enough?
Asked by Manuel (11 months ago)
It depends on what you think is fast enough. If you expect your money to arrive in seconds, I don’t think that is going to happen. And also you have to remember that bank transfers take more time to execute than bank cards for example. The payment method is also important. So you have to specify your question to get a more informative answer. In general Fxcess payments are swift enough and what’s more important they are free of charge.

Which one is the better account type, Classic or ECN?
Asked by Haron Desa (1 year ago)
Both are good if they serve your needs. So, depending on your trading strategy or style, which one would be more suitable for you. The main difference between them is the execution type and consequently the spreads. If you are more of a swift trader and your trades last more than a day, then you should go for a Classic account type. If you are more of a scalper your trades last a short time and you need narrower spreads, then you should go for an ECN account type.

Did you puzzle over the choice of the account on this platform?
Asked by Budiarto (1 year ago)
Not really. Uhm... to be precise yes, but I can't state I was indeed puzzling over the choice. There's no a big choice as it mostly boils down to the order execution. My choice is ecn cause the execution is way faster, still some traders don't get along with round-turn commissions. I believe it's way more lucrative than spreads.
Answered by Gabriel (1 year ago)
No, not really. It was an easy decision for me. The classic account has a higher maximum leverage, and no commissions. I do not like to trade with commissions so that was easy for me to choose.
Answered by Manuel (11 months ago)
I don’t see any reason why would anyone find it hard to choose which account type is better for his trading strategy at Fxcess. I appreciated their simple approach to this matter and offering two account types - Classic and ECN. This is the essential difference even if there are 10 different account types. You choose what type of execution you prefer, whether you prefer no commission trading with higher spreads, or you don’t mind paying commissions to get raw spreads.
Answered by Nontiyut Sanya (11 months ago)
What does the ECN’s account fee means by the following: “$4.5 PER LOT ROUND-TURN”?
Asked by Felix S (1 year ago)
You simply multiply that 4.5 by the lot size of your trade to find out how much you will be charged for that trade. It is pretty affordable.

What sorts of choices do I have for deposits and withdrawals? Can I deposit anything than US dollars?
Asked by Dacio Montanez (1 year ago)
So, basically, you can use your Visa or Master card or a bank wire transfer for your transactions. Now much, but reliable. For the currencies you can use, you have the Japanese yen, the Euro, and the British pounds. This is in addition to the USD that you already mentioned.
