Have made 1st claim ever on my contents insurance. And have had a nightmare trying to get admiral to pay out on my claim. Even worse time trying to contact the company. Iv had that our systems are down we cant access your claim we will phone you back no call back. We have not had the reports we need we will chase these up and get back to you. Your report is being sent over and we will contact you soon. And no contact. I have tried phoning today go all through there options to then be cut of. Bad company experience so far would defently not recommend.

Terrible company admin fees are a joke their online service doesnt let you change anything so you have to pay the extortion admin fees for a simple change of details. Customer service is awful poorly trained rude staff, not worth it.

Had a house fire. Mostly smoke damage, though I was covered. But admiral thought not. Tried to say I wasn't living in my own home. Wouldn't advise anyone to use these pirates for insurance, they don't honour their contracts. My advice, use someone else, anyone else.

Admiral has been my first insurance in the UK. Following an accident, I filed a claim to have my car repaired. I gave them video evidence that the other car was driving without due care, but they wouldn't even look at it and decided I was fully liable. They booked me a garage appointment for after a week, during which I was driving my car. After dropping the car and getting the courtesy car, it took the garage another WEEK to get a repair estimate. I complained to Admiral but they wouldn't bother. I never got the estimate but I did get a call from Admiral about my car being a total loss and unroadworthy. I had to chase them to get the repair quote, which never had any info about the individual costs or the engineer's report. I then had to request any info about myself and my property under GDPR rules. Even then, the engineer's report was seriously lacking, with limited comments about the required repairs and no justification about the write off. They valued the car at £4300 and the repairs at £3700. I gave them another repair quote at £2400. Still a total loss. I argued that the car is worth at least £5000, gave them ads from autotrader of the same car, they couldnt care less! I had to get an independent assessor to get a valuation of my car at £5000, with a glass guide price of £5200!!! I offered alternative arrangements, including cancelling the claim, Cash In Lieu agreement, contract repair, me covering part of the repair cost, proof that the garage over-inflated the price. They COULDN'T CARE LESS, didn't even comment on this. I underlined the fact that the car was NOT a total loss but a CONSTRUCTIVE total loss, they don't care. I argued that NOWHERE on my policy they define what "not economical to repair" is, which means that by default definition option A is more economical than option B when cost A < cost B. They said they don't disclose this information or the repair to value ratio, which could be considered unfair terms and conditions. In this matter I believe they are in breach of their contract and I will be taking the matter further with the financial ombudsman. I am now 3 weeks without a car, my car is parked outside yet Im not allowed to drive it since Admiral believes it is unroadworthy and I can't repair it because they haven't agreed on repairs.

Pre-confirmed for a loan, subject to conditions. The conditions were met, and then Admiral pulled the loan with some generic response - this dropped my credit score for 66 points meaning I will not be able to apply for a loan elsewhere. The staff were rude and accusing and made me feel like a pleasant for even applying.

Tried to rob us on our renewal by over £1500 on a multi car policy. The staff are untrained & rude. Everything is a problem. Don’t bother. One of the worst companies I have ever dealt with. NEVER AGAIN.

Terrible. My partner was hit in the back of her car by an idiot who is denying liability. He has intimidated her, followed her to her workplace and she is going through extreme stress because he is lying and saying its a non contact inncident, and also committing insurance fraud with you. - Luckily there is a witness. If you contact the witness you will find what my partner is saying is true. Disgusting how the victim of the accident is made to feel like the problem by the emails she receives from the insurance company. Get it sorted out Admiral. My family does not need or deserve this. I went with you once. Will I come to you for insurance based on this in the future?

WATCH-OUT AND STAY WELL AWAY....Don’t be a victim of false/scam insurance !!! According to Admiral, someone is claiming ‘body impact’ 3 weeks after I hit their car while the person was inside the car but did not move or say anything to me. I never saw the person, or exchange details as normal bcz it is a SCAM! We all know 9/10 if you hit anyone’s packed car while they are inside the first reaction will be to come out and be absolutely livid. Almost 4 months later as my insurance end in few weeks Admiral won’t give me my NCD discount and they have flag my name and car reg. on the insurance database to force me to insure with them for double what I use to pay on a new quote the sent me. This is because I told them I won’t insure with them due to this made up incident to increase my cover. An assessor came in Nov. 2019 after I insisted and not a scratch on my car. No communication from Admiral after that abt this alleged scam/false incident until I told them over the phone few days ago that I no longer wanted their service. They said I should wait for another month for them to ask the claimant’s rep. to close the case that never happened but they flagged my details with this incident!! They a terrible and they take advantage especially to newish drivers. I am proud of myself for my driving in the last 12 months and I stand by the fact that I have not been involved in any incident😊 YJ

Terrible service, took 6 weeks to hear back after having a 60mph crash on the motorway, which almost cost me my life. After initially giving a settlement offer on the vehicle, they later cancelled that offer for me to only to hear back 6 weeks later that they are refusing to pay out on the vehicle after stating the tyre threads were below the limit. Bearing in mind the car had passed its well in-date MOT without any advisory points on tyres or anything else, and I had only purchased the car 2 months prior to the incident. No empathy at all about the traumatic accident, and no specific measurements given about the thread of the tyres. The accident itself could have also affected the tyres being a high speed incident. My complaint was dealt with by a dishonourable gentleman called Gavin Bates, who showed no empathy about the situation, and often started back tracking on statements after being questioned upon then. After I had waited for the considerable amount of time for a resolution I received a phone call from Mr Bates and I asked him to call back a bit later as he had rang at an inconvenient time, he then had the nerve to demand that I made sure I was free when he was to call back; disgusting attitude. Their internal complaints procedure is beyond a joke and doesn't lead to any resolution. WILL NEVER USE AGAIN! CON ARTISTS!

This is horrible company. Stay away. They will find every reason to charge you once you on their book. They simply charged me 151 pounds for correcting purchase year of car which was again their fault. They said because we cannot prove system fault. We consider its customers fault. The word customer loyalty doesn't exist in this company.

Absolute Joke of insurance. I used the online portal on 22nd December to change policy details however the online portal was not working properly so i decided to call them instead and get the changed made. I then used the online portal on the 27th December to make a change to the policy and all worked fine, i received a confirmation email to confirm. Windscreen has occurred a crack so i thought i would ring up fro a replacement being INSURED! HOWEVER.......turns out the online portal did not make the change properly which means i was not insured ( spotted before anything drastic happened ). I have been ringing Admiral for the past few days and have changed the insurance over to the new car however they do not seem to want to understand the situation and acknowledge the system fault...instead blaming me for not making the changes correctly ( Hard to do when a system does not allow you to proceed without the correct information ) I am doing all the chasing via calls and emails but not getting anywhere with someone actually accepting or acknowledging that this was a system fault. Why am i paying for an insurance company to assure me and provide me a service? Admiral......you are here to support your customers, that is how you keep in business right? if you are not providing the correct service why bother with the fancy adverts promising to be the cheapest and the best when actually i rather just pay a few extra pounds and go to someone who will treat me properly as a CUSTOMER! Absolute waste of time company.... i do not even want to think about what they are like if you have an accident!
