The plug in recorder was not in the way and so no problem. I found the drawback with it was the fact it didn't know when I was towing my caravan and so didn't make allowances for heavier than usual braking, resulting in my being downgraded from Good to Average assuming I wasn't keeping a safe distance from the vehicle in front of me. Another factor in my monitoring is the rather fierce brakes on my Ford Kuga, which when someone cuts me up & I respond accordingly records as heavy braking on the plug in. Otherwise okay.

Watch out for Validations, Absolutely awful, will not use Bell Car Insurance again. My teenage daughter was issued with a validation request, documents sent by email, one was out of date. They cancelled her policy, stating an email had been sent, which they could not retrieve and resend. A letter notified her, received five days after cancellation was actioned by them, hence we distrust their organisation. Totally unhelpful, unsympathetic and extremely poor customer service.

I have been with Bell for 6 years,, great service, straight forward and courteous and good monthly rates. That's why I'm still with them

Real rating -zero stars. AVOID Sent black box-plugged it in as I’m confident I drive well. Average rating not explained. Then a letter giving me a weeks notice they are cancelling the policy as I have broken the rules I’m unplugging the device.i once notice it had fallen out when giving a work pal a lift home -I think he stood on the wire. Anyway,the say by unplugging it I have breached the terms and they are cancelling-with short notice a major hassle.no warnings cancelled. I’ve been on the road for about 18 years. Never claimed a penny from an insurance company1a total Scandal.

I had a monitor in my car to record my driving which was fair but they penalised me because i whent to work at different times because i work shifts and also because when i drove to my girlfriends i whent late evening to miss traffic on m25. No leeway.

Every year increasing insurance. No discounts for long existing customers. When I finished my policy for 2 cars they sent me no claim for 2 car nod firt one also didn't sent me my no claim for 6 years. Trying to contact with them with no effect. Disgusting

False advertising - they claim that you get a courtesy car if you are in an accident . Not true you get a car if and when they can be bothered to collect yours to repair it. Poor customer service - they simply don’t give a damn about their customers.

This company have cheated on me by taking £107 instead of £59 per for 7 month until I cancel my direct debit and they gave an silly answer sham shame and I will never forget or used them again

I am having absolutely the worst experience with this company! I feel like they've abducted my bank account and that they have the right to just take money from it whenever they want! I feel trapped with this company and powerless to do anything about it. I was hit by another driver on my driver's side rear door while on a roundabout lane closest to the exit I was going to take. Both my lane and the lane the other car came from could be used to exit the roundabout but somehow the other driver decided to come to my lane and hit me, causing my car to spin in the middle of the roundabout and when it stopped it was facing the opposite direction. I took pictures and sent them to Bell. Since then, I had so many calls with them and I had to explain to several different people EVERYTHING over and over again, even though everything was already written in their file! Every time I'd spend an hour on the phone explaining all the details again, just because they couldn't be bothered to read the file. This incident happend when my policy renewal date was almost due and of course they took the chance to increase my premium my nearly 200 pounds! They had just opened the claim and they were nowhere near having a conclusion. It has been 6 weeks already and they sent me another e-mail today, asking for the same information I already gave them so many times!! This just makes me think they are nowhere close to resolving this. When I complained about the raise in premium, they said they had to quote me as having had an accident AT FAULT just because I have an open claim!!!! THIS IS RIDICULOUS! I was hit by someone else a couple of weeks before my renewal and now I have to pay as if it was my fault, just because they are still investigating (or so they say)!! They just charged me directly through direct debit and there was nothing I could do! This is just disrespectful and unfair! They should have to wait until they have a conclusion before they can raise my premium and charge me for that. They don't even have a maximum amount of time they are required to resolve the claim, so they are not even worried! The money is already IN THEIR POCKETS! I also asked if I could get another quote, to which they responded that they couldn't change my policy premium since a claim was open. Well this is just a LIE because when I was unfortunate enough to get a speeding ticket shortly after, they were very happy to raise my premium AGAIN (retroactively!!) and inform me they were going to charge me through direct debit again! When it suits them, they can change the premium and charge me directly even if a claim is open and the renewal premium was already paid for and if it doesn't suit them, they just say they can't change the premium because there is an open claim. I feel TRAPPED in a situation I can't do anything about, despite my many phone calls with them and I feel lied to and robbed, as they say and do whatever they see fit and just take my money. I am seriouly considering paying more to switch to another insurance company just so that I don't have to deal with them anymore!
