“Just bought insurance through them and they came back with issues of NCD and want to increase my premium by another £60. On their own site, a new premium quoted same. Also, they want to charge £55 for cancellation with the first 14 days which they call it as cooling off period in the name of admin fee. insurance companies should be regulated further so that they stop ripping off customers.”

“Don’t use. Poor choice of underwriters. Car was stolen, 2 years and Tansar still haven’t paid out. Absolutely appalling customer. Now with the financial ombudsman”

“I insured a self converted campervan,...Which the compare site looked favorable. I have 10 years minimum NCD,..And they asked, Yea but experiance of driving a Motorhome ,...Told them I had caravans,. in the past ...Nothing!! I have driven and licenced to drive Double Decker buses..and coaches!! I have the Advanced Driving Certificate!! ,.....But No,...Did not listen Just increased my premium.. Pathetic,....Would not know a safe driver if hit them in the face.”

“Over many years I have found B.G helpful and excellent on sending out reminders which is appreciated in our busy lives in this modern world and if they can reduce your cost they let you know by moving you to another policy. And they are usually competitive in the first place!”

“They are con men. They take your money and then concoct a reason to cancel so they can collect the admin fees. not to be trusted. I got a letter today saying they were cancelling because they didn't have my licence check code, annual mileage and reason for a previous policy cancellation (change of job because I work for agencies and go where they send me). All three were provided at the point of sale and repeated the weekend before last when they said they didn't have them. You don't have to be a genius to work out that they'd never have offered me the policy without this data in the first place. Don't trust them.”

“COWBOYS! their entire business model is to appear cheap and affordable, but their policies are littered with hidden charges and traps to get more money out of you, if like me, you eventually give up and cancel, they hit you with more charges and scam you in the refund. Anyone giving these guys more than 1 star just haven't been hit with additional charges YET! ***3 weeks after cancelling, I'm still waiting on a refund from them. Do not purchase insurance from these guys. spend the extra £10 and go with a reputable insurance company instead of these cowboys. I promise it will be cheaper in the long run.”
