Don't give a damn. I had a leaking pipe behind plasterboard which apparently I should have been aware of ! They are no help whatsoever

Car insurance. I always had trouble with companies such like Hastings direct, Adrian flux and ticker. I’m a young driver just looking to lower insurance and the perfect company for that is Churchill drive sure. The premium was high but as a new driver it’s expected but they always kept me in the loop if I missed a payment they were very helpful gave me plenty of time to sort it out. Overall I’ve had a positive experience and I’ll be staying with Churchill for years to come. Brilliant way to lower insurance with mobile black box. Thanks Churchill.

Another driver crashed into me in an accident which was not my fault. When I would not accept fault they cancelled my insurance and tried to take me to the small claims court to pay for the other party's costs. They will do literally anything to avoid paying a claim. Crooks.

Absolutely disgraceful company, verging on fraudulent. Have had my claim for over 6 months, I’ve provided all appropriate details - including a police crime number (which is a complete waste of the Police’s time) - yet the claim is still open. They have now stopped responding to emails and phone calls and I really don’t know what else to do. DO NOT BUY INSURANCE FROM THIS COMPANY.

They cause so much stress that if they fitted you with a blood pressure monitor your life insurance premium would rocket, it's like dealing with a bunch of deliquents with intermittent amnesia.

Easy to deal with.insurance nearly the same as last year. No double pension no double insurance like most other companies.

My experience with Churchill after a non-fault claim has been truly awful, and I will never use them again as a result. From the outset, the process was plagued by delays and confusion, with multiple claim handlers and missed appointments. Their handling of my car valuation was particularly frustrating. Both Churchill and CoPart offered the same incredibly low offer, having first outsourced the initial write-off valuation to CoPart, a salvage auctioneer who profits from lower valuations due to a clear conflict of interest: the lower they set the value, the more money they make. They relied solely on outdated guides, completely ignoring my evidence of advertisements for dozens of similar vehicles (and one or two identical models) for way above what they were offering. Only after an official complaint did it come to light that one of the guides they usually use, AutoTrader, gave them a valuation that was much closer to reality than the other 3 guides. However, they discounted it completely and didn't use it as part of their calculation. Churchill didn't understand my frustration at them ignoring one of their own guides and literally dozens of comparable examples from the market simply because they were higher than what they wanted to give me. Notably, of the guides they use, only AutoTrader allows you to actually purchase a vehicle, and unsurprisingly, it was the only one that matched the reality of prices I see. Furthermore, they conveniently ignored the fact that they didn't discount the lowest valuation as an "outlier," only the highest. Churchill cancelled my policy (that included cover to drive family members' cars) without my consent when it had 6 months remaining. To add insult to injury, even though I had paid annually for 12 months and they had cancelled it against my wishes, they also advised me they would not refund the remaining 6 months' premium! I do not care what they slip into the small print of policy documents; this is just plain unacceptable. After a time-consuming and emotionally draining official complaint, their final offer of a mere £200 did nothing to compensate for the inconvenience or the loss of my beloved car. It barely covered the remaining premium which they refused to refund. Overall, Churchill's unfair practices, lack of communication, and complete disregard for my situation have left me feeling frustrated and unsupported.

Having to install a Drivesure app at 62 years of age so they can monitor my driving! Absolutely nuts! This ensures you get a cheaper policy but surely what about an age limit and those without internet access? I am not happy to be monitored by GPS regarding my whereabouts and my driving ability thank you but will pass on this one.

After insuring my car with sainsburys for many years it was handed to Churchill. I have just had a quote for next year from March and it has more than doubled in price. I rang them and spoke to a very unhelpful lady who informed me I wouldn't get it cheaper anywhere else. I did!!! Customer service is everything except at Churchill.

Mumbai call centre, with operators who cannot understand English. No Manager ever available and always 24-48 hours to call back...which they never do. Appalling company and avoid at all costs.

CHURCHILL HOME INSURANCE REVIEW: Claim handlers hide from you, avoid contact, ask for more evidence then use anything they can find to wriggle out of paying out many months later, avoid!

Last year a third party reversed into me. Some how that got turned round to me reversing into a third part my car was stationary and i was not in it. They increased my premium by 100% while my cohorts increases were 16%. This year just gone I hit a rock I could not see in a very poorly lit hotel carpark. They decided very quickly it was my fault even though the images they returned to me were corrupted and they could not have seen the rock. Increased premium to just over £1050. Last year they claimed I had no legal assistance , this year they have ignored requests to use legal assistance, ignored . If it goes on at this rate my insurance in 11 years time will be around a million. I don’t think I could afford that triple lock on my pension won’t stretch that far. Sort of irrelevant don’t think they will be in business then.

Awful insurance company, engineer did not perform a proper diagnostic on the boiler error code, he could not even locate a waste condensation pipe or undo a screw so left, sat in his car for 15mins then went. This has resulted in Churchill not willing to cover my claim, leaving me and my son to have a cold Christmas and l will probably have to buy a new boiler. They also increased my renewal by 30%. I have Churchill Hone Plus which should be called Churchill Home Minus for all the exclusion payout clauses they have.

Terrible insurance company! My car was recovered by them after an incident and I’ve been sent all over London trying to get the car fixed and sorted. They’ve done nothing to help, they even sent me to a grave this afternoon and told me it would be ready only to find out that they didn’t even have my car. I have a disabled relative whom I can’t transport and they refuse to give me a courtesy car despite the fact that they’ve made some colossal mistakes and extended my period that I won’t have my vehicle back. I have contacted a solicitor to claim against them. Just please go elsewhere for your insurance. Churchill are an absolute joke.

Not had to make a claim so can't comment on service but their drive sure app is awful. Can't get the score above 50. Tells me I'm driving on dangerous rds. It's a quiet residential street thst I live on but classed as dangerous! I also live at the top of a steep rd but it tells me I brake too much. Tells me I'm speeding. I deliberately kept at 20 to see if I vould improve score!! Nope! Not as accurate as black boxes

While at work my car was hit in a carpark last December. All details were passed onto Churchill. They have been a nightmare for almost 7 months to get this rectified. It took them 3 months to get the car into a garage and do an initial “quick check” they then said it was too much to repair (a dented sill) and made an offer on the car that was ridiculous. Once they acknowledged that I could not replace car for offer and agreed it was strange to be making offers on “maybe” there is more damage they agreed to get car looked at again! I was then told that damage was too severe. I took car to local trusted mechanic who said this is not true. Once my sill is fixed (which should not be a problem for a bodywork specialist) it will as always sail through its MOT. I had to contact Churchill as I had not heard from them since putting car into their garage. I was told they would get back before June 20th. They sent an email saying they are looking at claim in July! My car is due an MOT in under 2 weeks, I cannot MOT it till they have fixed it. This has been almost 7 months of stress, inconvenience and poor customer service for a dented sill!!!
