I am not a permanent resident in the UK, on international assignment relocated by big, reputable international company. Bought their insurance for a car about a year ago and it went really fine. Nothing to complain about. However, when I tried to renew it this year it appeared to be a disaster despite the fact that I have had zero claims and never even contacted them for a year. Firstly, the quote they provided over phone was not in line with final bill and they charged more than 10% extra w/o explaining why. Secondly, they created a mess providing misleading instructions for required documents, despite me being existing customer already. Thirdly, after already issuing insurance they are trying to cancel it inventing strange reason not routed in reality. They demand me sending them DVLA website check data requiring permanent insurance number to complete it. I could not perform it simply because I am not a permament resident and do only have temporary one which is perfectly fine. I have checked the issue with my company and KPMG consultants. Both said these guys do not know the laws and reason is just wrong. Net, net, second time they are expensive, unfriendly and simply unprofessional.

I was referred to Clements by my friends. I didn't hold UK license when I bought the car and at that time I was told to go with Clements as they are good with expats. Slightly expensive but good service.

Clements should be the last option. There customer service is not good. You won't even get an acknowledgement. There is no service policy. They give very limited options. Better to go for others like Admiral whose customer service is good.

I've been trying for some days to buy property insurance from Clements Worldwide. I have filled in all the forms on-line but something is wrong with the website, it freezes every time I click on "buy". I have sent two e-mails to them asking for advice, but no one seems to be checking the inbox let alone responding to customers.

I have been using Clements car insurance for nearly 3 years now. And for the 1st time need to replace the windshield of my car. To my suprise I was told that I should pay on my own for replacement- because there is no separate consideration for winshield replacement and is treated as a general accident (with full excess pay etc). I feel this is just rediculous and cheating the customers by NOT calling this out explicity when buying the insurnance. As far as I'm I'm aware- all other insurance providers treats it seperately.

information they provide before you buy the insurance is very poor and not at all sufficient.
