“Let my business cover lapse without telling me then I had to chase them for quotes then when they finally got back to me after going through all the information they already had regarding my business as I was with them for three years prior they were way over priced.
Save yourself a lot of money and shop about yourself as I believe a lot of major insurance companies will not work with this company anymore.”

“Absolutely awful. I had my car stolen but luckily it was found with minimal damage 3 weeks after, no communication from them other than a letter cancelling my policy today due to 3 points on my licence from 2016. They have not paid out for damage. I have paid all car hire costs, repairs etc. I've driven for 26 years and never made a claim. DO NOT INSURE YOUR CAR WITH THIS COMPANY. I have not claimed a penny and yet my insurance will rise for years due to this cancellation. I am contacting my MP as she wants me to send her details of this company.”

“You pay for the insurance. You get a email asking you to call them at which point they tell you the quote has doubled then they charge you £25 to get your money back and you even have to argue for that. This company is a scam pure and simple”

For nothing you are not insured until you validate it Got a very competitive quote on compare the market so I purchased... after calling up to confirm all the details I had to go through the whole quote again only to be told the cost of the policy would be double... yes double! So I asked to cancel as that’s not what I agreed to. Yep that was fine by them but they would be charging me £25 for my troubles... an absolute scam. Took 30 seconds to leave my account yet a week to put it back in, very disappointing.”
“Tried getting a quote online a week or so back. It didn't go through so went elsewhere. Had voicemail after voicemail ever since, including one with some gobshite shouting "they are taking the f***ing p**s now". Real professional...”
“Spent 15 minutes on hold trying toi validate the insurance policy I bought on line (they require you to do this within 48 hours). Finally answered and couldn't transfer me as too busy.
Listened to loads of rubbish about putting customers first, your call is important, etc, but they can't do the basic of answering the phone!
From reading the reviews below I'm guessing when I finally get through it will cost me more.”

“This company is absolutely ridiculous, a real monkey outfit.
Paid a single lump sum for my van insurance run from December to December, made a claim in may as my van got stolen, pukka insure who dealt with the claim on their behalf are just as bad, anyway once claim was processed i spoke with constructaquote about putting my new vehicle onto my existing policy that i have paid for upfront and im now only 5 months in, they tell me that they cannot insure my new vehicle, i asked about a refund for the next 7 months insurance that ive paid for, they tell me im not liable for a refund and to top it all off i owe them £75 for terminating my policy early, none the less they will not be getting the £75.
Real unprofessional outfit will never give them a penny of my money or recommend them to anyone. Never heard anything like it before.”
“Couldn't get any worse. This company comes top on the comparison sites as they are always the cheapest. My orginal quote was £500 then charged me an extra £25 for changing the date from when my insurance was going to start. Lost all my 13 years no claims as this is my second van and then charged me an additional £350. If I had to cancel to policy they would also charge me again another £25 cancellation fee. I have dealt with alot of insurance companies in the past and Construct A Quote are the worst. Wont be using this company from now on.”
“As with the others, received a quote and made a payment. The company then decided to double the fee. The first reason given differed to the second reason, and none of the staff seemed to give the same reason. Was passed between three different people who need lessons in customer service, to say the least. Cancelled the insurance and they charged cancellation fee £ 25! Trading standards will be contacted!”
“The same as everyone else, pay the deposit insurance was set up 2 days later get a phone call saying need to validate insuranceand price went up nearly 200 so refused to pay that much insurance cancelled left me on a job with no insurance and if it needed validating must of had no insurance for the 2 days I was working, I was furious I am fighting them on the temp insurance bill I needed to get back from work, absolutely ridiculous company should be shut down.”
