“my son just tried to change his motorcycle from a manual to automatic, He paid £390 for the policy 4wks ago, and for the change over it would be a further £360 as it is classed as a higher risk bike!!! MOPED!! REALLY??. but going through as a new customer the policy is £289! if we cancel the existing policy we get a refund of £191.. you should be ashamed please everyone do NOT use this company”

“I cancelled with-in the time period due to ill health.... Then they took me to a debt recovery BLOOMING awful company to deal with... WARNINGS should be advised not to go to this company..... Go some-else for a policy they might be cheap but AWFUL just to warn you who buy's from this company”

“I've been using Devitt for many years. Their prices are always very competitive. I would probably give them a 5* rating but for the fact that their charges for making any policy change (address, bike, terms of cover, etc) are in my opinion extortionate. I know that they are not alone in adopting this punitive pricing strategy. However, dropping the rating to 4* is my small (but ineffective) way of expressing my dislike of it. Other than that, I can recommend them.”

“Waited in a que to cancel my policy when I eventually got on to an advisor they wouldn't cancel my policy because I answered a question wrong about my occupation. so I was told I had to ring back wait in a que again and do all the questions again just to cancel my policy”

“I have been riding for a couple of years and recently made the change to a supersports bike, being under 25 years of age meant that I had to do a fair bit of shopping around to look for a suitable price but not to skimp on the quality. Devitt managed to quote a third of what other insurers were asking for! now i am able to ride the bike of my dreams and also be able to put fuel in it! the staff are amazingly helpful and even managed to make some amendments to my policy without extra cost, although this did have to go through the manager first. Keep up the good work Devitt and I will be renewing with you next year!!”

“I was really impressed by the ease and simplicity to arrange cover, from the seamless transfer from the comparison web-site, the completion of the on-line application and the ability to transfer by email the proof of license status and proof of no claims. Immediate cover and no hassle. And by the way you get good support from the Customer Service Team if you need to check anything for peace of mind. Many thanks. Guy (Sprint 1050 rider).”

“I have been with Devitt now for about thirty years now. They have always provided me with comprehensive cover at a very good rate and my loyalty has been rewarded. It is so rare these days that loyal customers are treated just as well as new customers and this is one of the many reasons that I would recommend them to anybody with a motorcycle. When dealing with Devitt on the phone they have always been very friendly and helpful and make sure that they take time with you and not rush you. Devitt have given me peace of mind over the years and look forward to being a customer of theirs for many years to come.”

“Have used Devitts over the years off and on. Always polite on the phone and no problems getting the insurance sorted. However as with most insurance services, the best price you get it seems is in the first year. So never automatically renew in subsequent years if you want to save money. It can be considerable. Then if you are like me and do not want your information used elsewhere (even though you did not give permission) make sure that they know that you do not want them or their carefully selected marketing partners doing so by any means. I have taken out my insurance this year, never gave any permissions and now am receiving these irritating emails.”

“I went with Devitts via Gocompare.co.uk as they were the cheapest insurance company found to suit my needs and my Motorcycle. I gave them a ring - and blimey, the service was just incredible. They went through my online quote and confirmed details, then it was just a case of payment - which went through superbly. At this time I spoke to my CSA's Supervisor and asked to complement the employee as she was just fantastic. Nothing bad to say from me and I would recommend a friend anytime and any day.”
