"It's impossible to rate an insurance company until you have a claim. Their prices are good and it's easy to setup, but until I have a claim I won't know how good or bad they really are."

"i had a problem because I was insuring the car for my autistic son who is in a care home and trying to get cover for the care staff to drive him in the end I had to find an alternative and more specialist insurer. Please note there was no food involved."

"I\u2019m 75 and anxious in unfamiliar situations. First Alternative advisors were clearly spoken and empathetic. I first notified them of incident then a month later made a claim for repairs to my own vehicle."

I find it is extremely difficult to get in touch with first alternative by phone, they rarely answer.. But When they did, they were extremely helpful with my situation

I find it ludicrous that you can't change your details ie address , unless you ring them and getting an answer is usually difficult

Greedy insurance I have changed my car and my insurance gone up from £40 to £57 I have 10 years no claim bonus I couldn't believe it. I had six months left in my insurance so I had no choice but to pay £57 for the rest of term. But when I checked complaints against 1st alternative then I was surprised because so many people had a complaint against them so they had not only miss about with me but with many other as well. I won't renew with them but also will advice others to stay away from them. Absolutely rubbish
