really i will look elsewhere if i were you , tried to get a quote from them when i tried to change my car , but then ended not getting a car , online i got quote , then they told me i had to call , then quote went up by 45%, when i got the certificate it wasnt valid until like 15 hours later where i needed it to start at that moment so i can pick up the car, they told me they can only do it if they add £20 admin fee, so monthly fee went up from £70 to £134, and they took £132 deposit , so i cancelled it everything and they said i should get it back within 10 days , 10 days passed and got nothing back so called back, been put on hold for ages , to be told that they just got the money back from the insurer , and it should be processed between 3 to 5 working days , what absolute rip off grrrrrr

BEWISER - SPEND A FEW QUID MORE AND GET A PROPER INSURANCE COMPANY .Was involved in an accident two months ago with a coach company, having only had the policy for two weeks. Third party accepted immediate responsibility and Bewiser had no involvement with the claim, and understandably weren't interested or needed (though they were later very interested when it came to withholding my premium). Within two weeks the third party had paid out for my car & compensated me for injuries. Spent a fortune on calls to Bewiser to have the policy refunded (I say this with fingers crossed). They have everything they need & still no refund, they're also refunding (hopefully) only 50% of my premium FOR 2 WEEKS OF INSURANCE. ....IM STILL WAITING WEEKS LATER, and was told they don't know when ill be eventually refunded. Joke of an experience. Staff don't know what they're talking about and assume you have no knowledge of how the insurance industry works (despite my family actually having owned one), so that they can spout their lies about how they are "entitled" to keep hold of your money. Legal advice, and my own knowledge has shown this to be to the contrary, not that they were interested and hung up. In my case its apparently due to an ongoing claim. 1 - I did not make any claim anywhere, the 3rd party paid me out in cash within two weeks. 2 - There was no injury claim for the same reason. YOU HAD NO INVOLVEMENT WHATSOEVER. YOU ONLY EVEN KNEW AS I WAS HONEST AND TOLD YOU. Bewiser had absolutely no involvement in my case, and weren't even interested. I will be contacting the Ombudsman and possibly pursuing legal action against these bungling frauds. UPDATE. Following a Trustpilot review they responded that they would "escalate" my complaint. STILL NO CONTACT. Not that I'm surprised. Beginning to think I've actually been conned out of over £300. Having read other reviews on this and other sites, its certainly looking that way. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, DONT BE TEMPTED BY THEIR CHEAP PRICES, YOU ARE ASKING FOR TROUBLE IF YOU EVER MAKE A CLAIM (OR NOT ) IN MY CASE.

Van insurance cancelled with no communication or notification. I have been driving about uninsured. The only way I found out was a refund for half a year back into my bank account, so I emailed to ask why? Communication is key, especially in writing.

If you're ever looking for car insurance don't use BeWiser insurance brokers - when I looked around myself I found insurance 2 thirds cheaper with somebody else and when I cancelled the policy they still took my next monthly payment and I have to wait 60 DAYS for my refund!!!! Absolute rip off and disgraceful customer service

Lorry hit my car and drove off. Rang bewiser to be told I had to pay to fix my car myself as the under writers had gone into liquidation. Not happy. !!!! Been paying for fully comp and curtesy car if anything happened. Now I'm stuck with no car whilst I try and save up over £1000 for repairs. Safe to say I've cancelled my insurance with bewiser and will never use them again

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! On the 30th September my 87 year old father rang BeWiser to purchase car insurance in good faith hoping he could save some money. When he received the documents on the 5th October not only had they spelt his name wrong they had also got his date of birth wrong. When he telephoned them and explained they said that the company they had put him with could not insure him. So they would try another company when they came back to him they said it would be another £500+ taking the total to over £1000. He said he did not want this as it was too expensive. He also explained that this was not his error so that it should all be cancelled.... all within 5 days. During this time £50 deposit was taken from his account. So he asked for his deposit to be returned. As far as he was concerned this was the end of the matter............and purchased his insurance from his old insurance company. WRONG. On the 4th October BeWiser took £50 out of his account. On the 5th October the policy was cancelled. On the 17th October BeWiser took a further £380.34 out of his account ... 12 days after the policy was cancelled. After several phone calls and emails to different people and departments by both my father and myself BeWiser gave him back £208...... I have no idea why this amount .... but still not the full amount of £430.34. Since then my father has received several threatening letters demanding different amounts of money saying that he owes THEM money and that they will be sending round debt collectors if he does not pay within 10 days. Every time I ring to try and sort it out I get a different operator... whilst the operators are polite and friendly they cannot solve the matter and I have to explain it all again and repeat everything then they have to read through the file to try and understand. This is so unacceptable Then today 2 months later he receives another letter now saying they will be issuing court proceeding if he does not pay up. My father.... in all his 87 years has NEVER owed anyone any money. He has never had credit nor has he ever had a debt... he is old school.... if you cannot afford it then you cannot have it!! So you can imagine how upset and worried he is with these letters. 2 months so far of stress .He is not sleeping and I am so worried about him. This is still on going and I have no idea how long this will take. DO NOT UST THIS COMPANY!!

Worst company ever! Will do you cover at a good price then start adding extra charges on which double the original price and then charge ridiculous cancellation fees to try and force you to stay with them. I had around 3 months of stress, emails and phone calls that I made to them before I got my money back. I had to keep threatening them with the Insurance Ombudsman and eventually received a refund. I certainly would of reported them if I hadn't received my money back and probably still should of to save others from these con artists. DO NOT INSURE WITH THEM!

Took insurance, with 9 years NCB mirrored from 2nd car insurance, been promised to get 9 years NCB certificate after first year. Of course did NOT happen. AWOID!!!!!!

BE WARNED!! - AVOID AT ALL COSTS !!!!!! I filled in their website statement of facts very carefully on 02/11/16 as I have a motoring conviction and received 10 quotes ranging from £718.23 to £11,543.65 !! and naturally accepted the cheapest and paid the £718.23 in full by card. On 03/11/16 I received an urgent cancellation email saying I had'nt declared my motoring conviction ! After speaking with one of their reps. I asked to cancel before my card payment went through. I was told she would deal with it and phone me back.......guess what!!....no phone call and the payment went through on 04/11/16. I have sent emails to there admin-customer care & help address without reply. The cover I require does'nt even start until 19/11/16 but I'm sure there will be an extortionate cancellation fee for a service I have'nt even received yet !!!........presuming I do recieve reimbursement.! I only wish I had read all the 100's of negative reviews about this company on various websites earlier. I am a pensioner and can ill afford all the stress and anxiety that this company has caused me. I will update in due course YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED !!!!!!!!

Took out insurance with 0 no claims, got cert through stating 9 years no claims, i called them up to be told that it includes 9 years no claims, we had never advised of any no claims at all. then i was told it had 3 years no claims added that we needed to provide, which i again advised that i did not say we had any no claims and that i did not want it to be added to policy at all!! I was then informed that the money we had paid in full was including a no claim discount????!!! so no doubt they do this as a scam so when you cant provide the imaginary no claims that they will say they will cancel the policy or want further money to cover!!! the service is terrible, its a complete scam, i have been passed around to 5 different advisors today to try to cancel, they couldn't get me through to cancellations, i am still waiting for a call back!! stay away from this company the service is terrible and they make things up as they go along!! no doubt when i finally get to cancel they will be wanting to charge for canceling, not happy at all!!

This lot are a total con. I took out insurance in mayand I paid in full. I got all my documents via email all good I thought until a week ago when I received a letter from dvla telling me that my car is not registered on the database as insured. So I emailed bewiser and they say they cancelled my insurance because I failed to send further details to them. I never had any request. They say I was told by letter that my insurance was cancelled . I never had any letter. I had unknowingly been driving around without insurance. Their after care is rubbish . I have got nowhere with my complaint to them . I am taking the matter as far as I can because this is disgusting!!

I had been with Be Wiser for two years when my renewal date was approaching. Knowing that I was moving countries in two months I enquired about insuring my car for that period only and being able to cancel the policy at no additional cost after that period. The lady that sold me the policy over the phone assured me several times that this would be no problem at all and that in fact when I cancelled they would even return the money from days I had not used. After informing them of cancellation I have been bombarded with emails and text messages saying I owe them a cancellation fee of over £350 saying that I should have read the contract. Fact is the sales person flat out lied to me! Absolutely unacceptable they will say anything to sign you up but don't believe a word from their phone operator's. Terrible company! Beware of BeWiser!!!!

This insurance company cold called me following my using a number of comparison sites. They advised that they could offer me a better deal over the phone. So I went for it and this is the consequences: 1st policy - they had incorrect details I had to correct 2nd Policy - Looked good and included RAC cover and adaptations for disabled payment Premium -£1200+ - Paid by Credit Card Dep. (£152 -they charge extra for cc) £1100 by DC Insurance company took more than £2500 by 6 card withdrawals Wiped out bank balance and overdraft and further - impacting on credit rating and no money Repeated calls (at premium rate) kept waiting for ages, promises made - nothing Despite ban trying to help by getting fax sent through to them BW failed to do it. Untrustworthy, don't keep promises, DO NOT BUY FROM THEM! Having to now deal with bank and will be making complaint to ombudsman. I WILL NEVER, EVER RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE! Customer services, all promises but no action, once they've got your money they are gone! BE WARNED......
