I have been banking with Lloyds for many years and I have never had a problem. Today(29/05/20) I went in about 1120 -1130ish to deposit some cash. The woman in a suit greeted me and when I told her I was depositing she directed me towards the paying in machine. Now normally this wouldn't be an issue but last time the machine rejected a lot of new plastic notes because of creases or folding, so I told her this. I had my purse in my hand at the time and she looked at it and said 'I suggest you get a new purse'. What???? how personal was that? To make matters worse, while I was at the window dealing with the cashier, she came up and asked me who had given me the money!!!! Surely this is not only unprofessional but also a step over the mark? I have never had a negative experience with my local branch, (Oakham), in fact I would go as far to say they have been absolutely great with all my dealings with them. The staff have always been friendly and uber professional. Today, the 2 staff on let me down. I hope this was just a little glich as I would normally totally recommend Lloyds.

Such a great service! I recommended Lloyds Bank for my brother and they didn't put me down. I have spoken with the adviser under the name Sam and he was helping me with all the questions. Absolutely professional and knowledge.

I really can’t praise Lloyds bank enough since this lock down , I am totally useless on my iPhone and without Lloyd’s I really don’t know what I would have done, I just phone a number and my money is transferred, my husband is with Barclays and he is so impressed, thank you so much Lloyds

I opened a bank account, they told my aplication is successful but after a second review a week later they told me they will close it, they should've told me in the beginning they can't do it.

I pressed pay someone new. Red box appeared asking me to update my profile. I checked my details on my profile, everything was correct. The system will not allow me to pay someone new. I went back into my profile and retyped the same telephone number that was there to see if that will sort it, but no. I called Lloyds. I was told that the tel no. I typed will take 48 hours before I can use the account. I have had to transfer all my money to another bank account in order to make payment to my creditors. Lloyds Internet Banking is RUBBISH. Lloyds bank should be closed down and stop them form trading in UK

They really are the most horrendous bank! We have baked with them for two years. We were outsourcing our payroll and decided to bring it in house. We recruited a finance manager and completed and sent the forms for her to have full delegate access for two of our four accounts. The forms were received by Lloyds 9 weeks ago. 4 weeks ago we tried to set up workers but it turned out both full delegate accounts were set up as view only. I called and they checked the forms and confirmed they had been completed correctly but not setup their end properly. They explained that this would be logged with the Internet banking department and they would resolve. 1 week later... still no news and I had to call.... they apologized and 2 days later 1 account was set up correctly but the other one still wrong. I called again, they said it would be resolved.... 2 days later no news. I called again and they told me they didn't receive the form.... interesting as they were in the same envelope and previously confirmed both forms were completed properly. At this point I logged all the issues as an official complaint. 3 days later still no news so called again.... by this point we had to pay the outsauce company to run the payroll for another week costing us £150. I was told the form was filled in wrong for the remaining account despite been assured they were both correct 2 weeks before. They said they would need to email me another form. Next day still no form... another call and they finally emailed the form. This was a complete joke as due to lockdown we now had to complete and post to each director. The good news (or so we thought), was they called and said if we email the competed form over they would change the account. So we did this and emailed over n the Friday 15th that night they called and said the copy wasn't good enough (it was completely fine but we did another copy and i told photos and resent on Saturday. Monday..... still no news, emailed again, no response, emailed again today (Tuesday)..... still no news..... another payroll missed. Dont go with this bank!! They are the worst bank I have ever dealt with. We are in the process of moving.... this is how they treat business with £5million turnover!

I am awaiting funds to be transferred from a Lloyds Cash ISA paying a paltry 0.1% interest into a Schroders account. This has been ongoing since 6th April some 27 working days. The rules are 15 days then compensation applies. However try getting anyone at Lloyds to listen. This is a very poor performance.

I feel disappointed and fustrated with the poor response I ahve recieved from the advisers working for Lloyds Bank. I have rang numerous times with the same enquiry and I have had a reluctant response to help me move forward. I will be cancelling my card and account with Lloyd’s Bank and will be changing to a different bank. I do not recommend Lloyd’s Bank for the younger generation as I feel as though it’s clear they have no interest in treating their younger account holders with the same level of respect and focus as those who are older, from speaking to their advisers over the phone this was very apparent.

A mixed review really, I have unfortunately been a victim of fraud twice since opening my Lloyd's account, which of course is no fault of the bank. However they have been brilliant on both occasions, patient, understanding and very helpful. The issue was sorted quickly and efficiently both times. Now onto my grumble, I have had my account a little over 2 years, and when I first joined I wanted to be a member of club Lloyd's so as to get the perks (free cinema tickets, mobile phone insurance etc) which costs £3 a month, or nothing if you pay in over a certain amount each month. I have recently had a baby, so of course I'm on maternity leave and not earning as much as I would usually, and because of this they have decided to change my account to a big standard one. Even though I had either paid the £3 or paid in enough each month so as I didnt have to. To me loyalty isn't one of their priorities. Staff I have spoken to in branch or over the phone have always been more than helpful though.

Horrible experience! Do not trust this bank with your money. The whole policy of the bank is ambiguous and technologically they are still in 19th century. Most of cases need to be dealt face-to-face, they still rely mainly on postal service (in the 21st century, with people travelling and working remotely from different places in the world!). But it gets even stranger and confusing as some of correspondence is via email, while the most important one (in their opinion) is sent via postal service. Moreover, it takes them ages to look into you complaint and of course, the fault is always on customer’s side. The only good thing I can say about this bank is that their employees are polite. Generally, the bank acts as if it was doing a customer a charity taking care of his/her money. If you can, open an account with a different bank.

I would like to thank a young man called Joe serving in the Lloyds Hadleigh Essex Branch who was so helpful in dealing with my requests when I visited the bank during this difficult time. He was courteous and smart and even showed me the sanitizer on the wall. Many thanks I much appreciated his help. JF

No customer loyalty. At all. You have the AUDACITY to make TV ads quoting that you are "Always there" , with pretty black horses, lying about how you support customers with mental health problems and ptsd ! Load of bloody RUBBISH.

Tried so very hard to open a business account with Lloyds Bank. Spent almost six weeks and got absolutely nowhere with them. Tried calling branch. Hopeless. Mostly young inexperienced youngsters with no knowledge at all of banking or business in the real world. Had money and cheques waiting to pay in but could not get them moving. One excuse after another. No email service available. No direct lines available. No letters answered. Only call centres stuffed with equally useless people who want to get rid of you as fast as possible to hit their customer targets for the day. After forty five years experience in business banking I can honestly say this is the worst bank not only in the UK but the world. Do not touch these amateurs with a barge pole. I would not be surprised if they go bankrupt very soon as they are thoroughly useless and incompetent and would not know how to make a profit or a decent business decision if it was staring them in the face. After six weeks of trying I gave up and went to another bank who managed in four hours something Lloyds and 17 members of its staff could not manage in over a month and a half. Steer well clear of this bunch of jokers and do not trust them with anything or anything they tell you.

Appalling customer service for mu business turning over nearly £1mn per year. Extremely difficult to ever talk to someone on the phone - so frustrating. 2 1/2 hours on hold last week..... Absolute disgraceful way to treat fee paying customers. No email address to be found.
