lloyds bank car insurance is a complete rip off. My car insurance has just shot up by almost £80.00 a year with no reason at all. Talk about loyalty.?. After going onto go compare, it seems that lloyds are no longer even in the same ball park their quote was so costly. Insurance companies are up in arms over insurance fraud but are more than happy to rip off loyal customers. Due for renewal 28th April at £263.88, up from £190.73. ???.. Absolutely disgusting. Guess what lloyds.??..Esure have just offered me the same cover for £156.00, so even better than last years price. Guess i shall be taking my custom elsewhere.

Just had a renewal price which has lept to almost £100.00 extra each year. What is it with these rip off insurance companies of today.?.Does loyalty not mean anything to them at all.?. I have just gone on gocompare and lloyds are no longer even in the ball park, they are so costly. Insurance companies are up in arms over fraud, but seem happy to rip off existing customers without even thinking about it. Absolutely disgusting. 30 years of driving without even a parking ticket and this is my treatment. Almost £300.00 for a tiny little Streetka.. Good bye lloyds and thanks for nothing.

$350 currency bought and when I picked it up it consisted of 2x$100 & 2x$50. I enquiried whether I could get lower denominations for small expenditure in the Caribbean I was told I should've read the T&Cs and they would buy them back from me at 10% premium to them. The advise US dollars for the Caribbean and travel sites advise low denominations. Explained this and was told it was my fault and they wouldn't help. Customer for all her 30 years. Arrogant, poor quality service.

If I could score a zero I would... Upon having my first accident (third party at fault), Lloyds insurance were not at all interested in helping because I wasn't prepared to claim on my own insurance. I have been pushed from pillar to post with companies I haven't heard of, lloyds do not want to know. They even lied to me explaining that I couldn't take the claim further with third party as their insurance company wasn't even aware of the accident - offence, no???? I rang Aviva myself to find out the third party had reported the accident as I did on the day. Despicable. Shocking service considering the money I spend a month. I will NOT be renewing, in a million years, never again.

Bank has refused to act on written instruction from 95 year old great grandmother to simply move funds between her Lloyds accounts. In addition also refused to certify a birth certificate for 1 week old baby to enable a financial product to be opened. Top bank serving the needs of families......not!!

Insured my new Mercedes Benz C Class last year based on a clean licence held for 13 years with 13 years no claims bonus for £700. My renewal came through a few days ago for £1521, almost double. Also I noticed on the renewal they had put my occupation as a Marine Electrician when I actually work as a Maintenance Engineer. I called up to to correct their mistake and also decline the renewal unless they could offer me anything close to the £750 quotes I have been getting on comparison sites. To my surprise, they said they would immediately have to cancel the remaining 3 weeks insurance I have left unless they corrected my occupation. Right. Ok. Requote for 3 weeks, that will be an extra £1000 to pay. This is absolutely ridiculous bearing in mind it was their mistake and even more worrying, if I would have had to make a claim they could have potentially not have paid out. I have now lost a Years no claims bonus for ending early, not that a year would make any difference to my 13 years I have already but it's besides the point, I've lost 3 weeks cover. I went with Lloyds bank car insurance as they were the cheapest. I will never take out cover using any of their products again. Shocking service. Darren. S

As mentioned earlier. Proving no claims was impossible - spent two weeks being sent automated emails with infuriating "NCD not accepted' and a list of what they accept. Not much better when you call, vague responses and no commitment. It takes 3 - 5 days to review every submission, so you're never sure if covered until the computer says no. Ended up taking the £55 cancellation hit afte they doubled the premium and went with a proper insurance company . . . I've banked with Lloyds for nearly 30 years. . .will spend some time looking at alternatives. . very poor.

Worst car insurance experience I've had in ten years of driving. Trying to prove no claims discount seems an impossible task. My old insurer explained my renewal notice would be sufficient as that is what all insurance companies accept. But they agreed to also send me an email to confirm my no claims dicount, both which i uploaded to lloyds and they have not accepted. Last year I was with Sheila's wheels and they confirmed it without me having to do anything! Wish i had stayed with them. When i explained the problem to my old insurers they sighed and said im not sure what more evidence lloyds want there's nothing else we can give you. I suspect this happens to a lot of people and is probably a cunning way to get yet more money out of people. I wouldn't recommend this service to anyone.

Left me high and dry in France without money because they cancelled my cards when it was their mistake. They wouldn't help me so I had to use my return air ticket to come back to the UK and sort the problem out. They offered me £50 compensation for the trouble. First Direct are excellent, use them.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! Worst insurance company I have ever used. Enterprise is the insurance they use and I am so disappointed. After an accident in my car I was called by my insurance to tell me that my car was being picked up by Co-Part. I assumed that they were taking the car to a garage to get it fixed. I didn't realise that the Co-Part were a Salvage Company and that the car was going to be written off. Thank goodness I had the sense to call Co-Part to double check this. They advised that my insurers had advised them that the car was a write off!!! Lloyds did not advise me of my options. Lloyds advised that an email would be sent to me and my Underwriters and I received nothing until I contacted the Underwriters. I am having to do all the telephone calls and I feel that I have not been treated with respect what so ever. Very disappointed. I would not recommend and I will not be using them again

I had an £150 claims excess fee which was fine but I found out through my renewal letter that for drivers under 21 there is an additional £400 on top of that! Nowhere was this information available to me until I got this letter...thank goodness I didn't have to claim!
