I opened a bank account, they told my aplication is successful but after a second review a week later they told me they will close it, they should've told me in the beginning they can't do it.

I pressed pay someone new. Red box appeared asking me to update my profile. I checked my details on my profile, everything was correct. The system will not allow me to pay someone new. I went back into my profile and retyped the same telephone number that was there to see if that will sort it, but no. I called Lloyds. I was told that the tel no. I typed will take 48 hours before I can use the account. I have had to transfer all my money to another bank account in order to make payment to my creditors. Lloyds Internet Banking is RUBBISH. Lloyds bank should be closed down and stop them form trading in UK

They really are the most horrendous bank! We have baked with them for two years. We were outsourcing our payroll and decided to bring it in house. We recruited a finance manager and completed and sent the forms for her to have full delegate access for two of our four accounts. The forms were received by Lloyds 9 weeks ago. 4 weeks ago we tried to set up workers but it turned out both full delegate accounts were set up as view only. I called and they checked the forms and confirmed they had been completed correctly but not setup their end properly. They explained that this would be logged with the Internet banking department and they would resolve. 1 week later... still no news and I had to call.... they apologized and 2 days later 1 account was set up correctly but the other one still wrong. I called again, they said it would be resolved.... 2 days later no news. I called again and they told me they didn't receive the form.... interesting as they were in the same envelope and previously confirmed both forms were completed properly. At this point I logged all the issues as an official complaint. 3 days later still no news so called again.... by this point we had to pay the outsauce company to run the payroll for another week costing us £150. I was told the form was filled in wrong for the remaining account despite been assured they were both correct 2 weeks before. They said they would need to email me another form. Next day still no form... another call and they finally emailed the form. This was a complete joke as due to lockdown we now had to complete and post to each director. The good news (or so we thought), was they called and said if we email the competed form over they would change the account. So we did this and emailed over n the Friday 15th that night they called and said the copy wasn't good enough (it was completely fine but we did another copy and i told photos and resent on Saturday. Monday..... still no news, emailed again, no response, emailed again today (Tuesday)..... still no news..... another payroll missed. Dont go with this bank!! They are the worst bank I have ever dealt with. We are in the process of moving.... this is how they treat business with £5million turnover!

I feel disappointed and fustrated with the poor response I ahve recieved from the advisers working for Lloyds Bank. I have rang numerous times with the same enquiry and I have had a reluctant response to help me move forward. I will be cancelling my card and account with Lloyd’s Bank and will be changing to a different bank. I do not recommend Lloyd’s Bank for the younger generation as I feel as though it’s clear they have no interest in treating their younger account holders with the same level of respect and focus as those who are older, from speaking to their advisers over the phone this was very apparent.

Horrible experience! Do not trust this bank with your money. The whole policy of the bank is ambiguous and technologically they are still in 19th century. Most of cases need to be dealt face-to-face, they still rely mainly on postal service (in the 21st century, with people travelling and working remotely from different places in the world!). But it gets even stranger and confusing as some of correspondence is via email, while the most important one (in their opinion) is sent via postal service. Moreover, it takes them ages to look into you complaint and of course, the fault is always on customer’s side. The only good thing I can say about this bank is that their employees are polite. Generally, the bank acts as if it was doing a customer a charity taking care of his/her money. If you can, open an account with a different bank.

No customer loyalty. At all. You have the AUDACITY to make TV ads quoting that you are "Always there" , with pretty black horses, lying about how you support customers with mental health problems and ptsd ! Load of bloody RUBBISH.

Tried so very hard to open a business account with Lloyds Bank. Spent almost six weeks and got absolutely nowhere with them. Tried calling branch. Hopeless. Mostly young inexperienced youngsters with no knowledge at all of banking or business in the real world. Had money and cheques waiting to pay in but could not get them moving. One excuse after another. No email service available. No direct lines available. No letters answered. Only call centres stuffed with equally useless people who want to get rid of you as fast as possible to hit their customer targets for the day. After forty five years experience in business banking I can honestly say this is the worst bank not only in the UK but the world. Do not touch these amateurs with a barge pole. I would not be surprised if they go bankrupt very soon as they are thoroughly useless and incompetent and would not know how to make a profit or a decent business decision if it was staring them in the face. After six weeks of trying I gave up and went to another bank who managed in four hours something Lloyds and 17 members of its staff could not manage in over a month and a half. Steer well clear of this bunch of jokers and do not trust them with anything or anything they tell you.

Appalling customer service for mu business turning over nearly £1mn per year. Extremely difficult to ever talk to someone on the phone - so frustrating. 2 1/2 hours on hold last week..... Absolute disgraceful way to treat fee paying customers. No email address to be found.

Having banked with Lloyd's for 25 years and recently starting a business, Lloyd have been the most useless bank. Despite having my entire credit history, made £000s on interest and loans, they refused an overdraft, loan, business manager and now a payment holiday on my personal loans due to corona. Their tv ad says with you every step of the way but that could not be any further from the truth. I really must switch to coop or TSB, both of whom have fantastic reviews and actually care. Disgusting service, I hope you collapse soon and make way for banks that care.

i have been banking with Lloyds since 2007, i have kept large sums in their account, i have even had my house mortgage with them. out of the blue, after 10 years, because i did not have a lot of money in their account, they have sent me that they are closing my current account. they have not called or warned or explained anything. they only sent a letter in the post. it is fine as i am currently banking with other bank but they are totally unreliable. imagine i was overseas or something, they did not even bother to call me. PLEASE do not use. I am now getting my wife to switch away from them too!

I'm aware that Lloyds Bank Car Insurance do read some of these reviews and do their best to have them removed, On that basis this is an honest no punches pulled review. I started my Car Insurance with Lloyds Bank car Insurance on December 23rd, and paid them a deposit with my card, and took out my cover. On December the 30th The car I had insured had to be returned, and on the same day I returned the car I phoned up Lloyds Bank Car Insurance to cancel my policy. I got almost all the way through and they put the phone down on me. As I thought all had been done and because I was also dealing with family bereavements, so concentrated on that. Fast Forward 3 months and noticed that deductions were still being taken by Lloyds Car insurance from my account. I contacted Lloyds Car Insurance and they told me that I had not cancelled my insurance and they had no record of my call telling me that they record ALL their calls. They then told me to ask the garage I returned my car to whether they could send me an email confirming that the car involved was indeed returned. They then told me that the email was not adequate proof as it didnt mention the exact return date. I contacted the garage again asking them to send me an email with the exact return date on it. The garage then sent me an email with the exact date on it,which I forwarded to Lloyds Car insurance. They then mailed me back saying this was still not adequate proof, as It had been forwarded to me not direct to them, and implying that I could have modified the email to suit my needs. I then asked the garage to send it direct to Lloyds Car insurance, which they did. You wont be surprised to hear they then decided to move the goalposts yet again, and tell me the proof was not acceptable as it was not on headed note paper and/or was not in the form of a PDF. The garage explained to me that because of coronavirus they could not access headed note paper as the business was closed until they were given notice that they could open up again after lockdown.. Lloyds have been obstructive to the maximum, and seem to be doing everything in their power to avoid paying me back what they owe me. I have spoken to 7 (YES 7) diffferent people regards this matter and everyone just shoves me on to someone else to deal with this. All I want is for them to refund me my deposit as well as all the direct debits they continued to take from me. I understand that they might want to deduct 7 days insurance from the total but based on the fact that it has taken three months to get this far I'm hoping as a goodwill gesture they might refund me everything I've paid out, but I;m not holding my breath. Stay well away from Lloyds Car Insurance unless you want months of messing about.

"with you by your side" haha the truth is directly opposite. I have a complaint outstanding for 6 months (they told me 6-12 weeks to put me off) and still no word. They call to persuade you not to make a complaint rather than dealing with the matter. Now their fraud team has blocked my account after me telling them all my personal and business data and yet they need me to go into a branch to prove who i am with a piece of plastic that can easily be faked. This bank useless, dated, detached, and liars... that TV ad needs to be removed.

Lloyds Bank does what it says 'Always by your side' to grab what they can before you fall. In this difficult and unstable times Lloyds Bank sends a letter to their most loyal clients, which states that if they don't start to pay higher amount and more interest on their credit cards they will be placed on the list of people in a persisted debt. This list will be shared with all credit score checks so Lloyd's clients will be prevented from getting any loans. Well, great job Lloyds Bank! In this difficult time you definitely know how to look after yourself.

Every time that advert comes on tv, I feel sick. They allowed me to be duped by allowing a conman, pretending to access ppi on my behalf, rip me off as they put the money into my account instantly, letting me believe this was infact my money for miss sold ppi. I paid out the 50% fee immediately, in cash, to the man as I had already signed the so called contract he gave me, A few days later Lloyd’s demanded the money back “ immediately” throwing me into complete financial turmoil which 2 years later, I am still in. They treated me like I was a thief, unconcerned that I was a victim of fraud, and spoke to me with total disrespect, Why would a bank put hundreds of pounds into an account, without checking the details? This caring “life’s journey” bank have put me in a financial position I will never recover from, my advice is, DO NOT USE THIS BANK

I have been with Lloyds bank for over ten years, I have a business and personal account with them. Unfortunately I have come to realise that this bank is really bad, all they are concerned about is their profits. In this difficult time when most banks have suspended charges for overdraft fees, Lloyds bank is still charging customers, I even raised the issue with customers Services asking that they should suspend overdraft fees for three months like other bakns to help customers in this difficult times, their response was that they will not suspended overdraft fees. Tells you all you need to know about Lloyds bank, greedy, greedy and greedy. Sadly, I will be changing to Barclay bank or sterling bank because they seem to want to help their customers more.
