Changed my payment plan without informing me. Took all the money in one go without informing me. When finally got through to an agent she was smug and condescending and told me a fee of 300 pounds was needed to change the above policy to my suited needs. The account it went from caused my mortgage payment to bounce. Do not use this companies services under any circumstances. Their complaints procedure sends you in a circle then cuts you off.

I regret to express my extreme disappointment with the service provided by LV Insurance. After an accident, I received a call assuring me that the necessary measures to rectify the situation would be promptly taken care of. Unfortunately, this turned out to be a prolonged and disappointing process. Despite their initial assurances, it took a significant two months to arrange a repair for my vehicle. Upon its return, I was dismayed to find overspray covering the car's surface. Subsequent attempts to address this issue were met with resistance from the garage, claiming it was fallout and refusing to rectify it. Upon involving the insurance company and an engineer, it became evident that the paintwork was subpar, with overspray persisting throughout the vehicle. Despite this, the insurance company, to my disbelief, claimed that the repair met their standards and implied that I had tampered with the car myself, an accusation I vehemently deny. This experience has been deeply frustrating and perplexing. I had entrusted LV Insurance to restore my vehicle to its original condition, only to receive it back in a worse state. The lack of accountability and the implication of my involvement in the car's deteriorated state are utterly unacceptable. I implore LV Insurance to re-evaluate their standards and practices to ensure such disappointments and baseless accusations are not inflicted upon other customers in the future.

Filled in an online application for car insurance with LV last Saturday 21st October 2023 - only to have the application declined, having gone through the whole online process. Declined because my ex HGV Driver husband, with a 58 year, impeccable driving record was named as the additional driver - and he is 81. What a disgustingly ageist Company LV are!

Brilliant - until the renewal quote came - been with LV 3 years - got car/pet/travel discount given on pet insurance 5% - not much but all helps - then my car renewal quote came through £260 last year - £425 this year! No accidents/claims etc.. Gobsmacked! I won’t be renewing which is a shame but where’s the justification?

Very unscrupulous company. Someone ran into the back of my car 2 years ago - they admitted liability and car was fixed no problem. 2 years later I get a solicitors letter from LV saying Hastings were now refusing to pay and that I had to sue Hastings and attend court to recover LVs money! I've obviously said I don't want to sue Hastings and if they are owed money then sue them themselves. Since then I have received multiple emails from LV threatening me. They've said it is in the T&Cs and are now saying they will put the accident down as a fault on my record and destroy my no claims bonus if i do not issue legal proceedings! I have reported to FCA and have contacted the BBC - I am also seeking legal advice to try and protect myself from their constant bullying. Be aware that if you take car insurance with LV this could happen to you.

Have been a loyal LV customer fir a number of tears with home abd 2 cars insured with them. My home & building insurance quote increased from £210 to £330 in 1 year despite zero claims. On comparison site I was able to get an equivalent £225 policy from another provider. I'm certain that as I'm no longer an LV customer I will get a much more realistic quote next year, but on principle I will not be using LV again. I also will not renew my car insurance with LV.

From the moment I called the Claims Department I was given complete support and kept in constant touch with advice on what to do. Claim settled rapidly after my partner was taken ill in Spain and we had to fly home leaving our car and possessions as we had travelled to Spain by ferry.

Left you for home & contents insurance after you increased the premium 51% year on year for exactly the same policy. The guy I spoke with to query this couldn't have been less interested, quoting LV's increased costs, payroll, etc. When I said it's just too expensive when the national average is 6.7% I was informed there are other insurers!!! So we went to Co-op at 3% on last years premium. Goodbye LV. Loyalty counts for nothing

Broken down when suspension failed first recovery adgent came out Britannia rss caused bit of damage to car didn’t have right equipment to recover next day agent 2 came out with proper equipment taken to garage I made oppoiment with they then refused to take it then it was taken to compound arranged another garage paid extra for mileage car still in recovery compound now don’t know what to do poor comncation won’t be renewed this year go elsewhere

I recently spoke to a lady called Christine who is American lady and lives in Bristol. I cannot say how helpful this lovely lady was in respect of explaining things in my policy. She took her time to go over everything. LV I hope you commend this lady on her expertise and get in touch with her. I give one star because is no minus stars…the worst company ever….stay away. Had home insurance, lost a product abroad and they don’t what to help because I decided to stay longer abroad. Worst customer service, they take your money but they will try everything to rip you off and to avoid paying you back.

I'm deeply disappointed and frustrated with LV's home insurance claim process. We faced an unfortunate incident with a broken internal pipe on the 7th of June. LV chose to send multiple representatives from FFDR Limited, none of whom were able to rectify the leak. By the time the British Gas team arrived and fixed the issue within a mere 10 minutes, considerable damage had been inflicted upon our property. Now, two months have elapsed, and we're still waiting for LV to honour our claim. Despite swiftly collecting an excess of £350 from us over the last 35 days, there's been zero progress. To add to the inconvenience, they plan to strip down our kitchen ceiling and wallpapers, yet expect us to continue living in the property amid the chaos, showcasing a blatant disregard for customer safety. Communication is almost nonexistent. Every single update requires us to chase them down, only adding to the stress of the situation. We've made the decision to cancel all our insurance policies with them. It's infuriating how such powerful companies seemingly operate with impunity. Avoid LV's home insurance claim team at all costs. Their lack of care and communication speaks volumes about their approach to customer service.

They tried to put up my insurance premium by over £200 with no accident and full no claims. I have been with them for years until they did that. I think I may have other insurances with them. I am going to dump the lot. The RAC gave me motor insurance for just over £450. I could only give you a photo of the shedder smoking, as a rammed the paperwork from LV in!

Have been waiting twenty minutes on the phone and still no answer. On the website it says to ring if your car insurance was before 22/11/22 but if you can’t get through I seriously would think about changing insurers.

Awful company. Will not cancel my auto-renewal and happy to charge my company even though I have notified them in advance. Avoid at all costs, it's just not worth it.

Current Insurance claim, no repair carried out, no communication from LV. Ombudsman contacted and awaiting reply. The worst insurance company I've ever dealt with in 64 years. Martin Mayes Registration P60MDM

20 years claim free record and they double house buildings and contents premium from £1231.32 to £2101.37 in a letter from Heather Smith their MD in charge. Aviva provide far better cover for less than half the price. Unclear why LV are a which preferred as they are clearly experimenting with a gouge pricing formula. Please do sit around and be ripped off by LV.

Just called LV to add a second car to our insurance policy. Jay was very helpful and explained everything clearly. Very happy with the price quoted. Would definitely recommend LV to others
