“Very quick very simple”

“Renewal process all geared around online - don’t even bother trying to get through to the call centre as you’ll just wait for ever then discover a big call charge from your mobile provider. The only way to speak to someone is to go to online chat (a bot) and request a callback. Why MCE can’t provide a straight renewal quote based on last year’s info I don’t know. Couldn’t use the customer portal either as it wouldn’t let me in. Very frustrating renewal process.”

“I CLICKED BUY NOW ON LINE, ENTERED MY CARD DETAILS AND CLICKED BUY. THE SCREEN WENT BLANK. I TRIED AGAIN AND IT SAID IT CANNOT RETRIEVE MY QUOTE. THIS VERY SAME PROBLEM OCCURED LAST YEAR, AND THE YEAR BEFORE THAT. I DREAD RENEWING MY INSURANCE EACH YEAR BECAUSE OF THIS PROBLEM OF PAYING ON LINE. MCE HAVE INSURED MY BIKES FOR THE LAST ELEVEN YEARS AND I HAVE NEVER HAD TO MAKE A CLAIM. THE THOUGHT OF HAVING TO MAKE CLAIM IS AWFUL.”

“Tried to call and left waiting for over 16 minutes at a cost of some £12+ for premium rate phone call. Hung up in the end and still didn’t get to speak to anyone about my questions, so not very impressed.”

“I am sorry to say that your Call Centre is appalling. I struggled to understand the person that I was connected to and she was unable to answer my query. She then disconnected my call. I re - contacted, was told that I was to be transferred to another department and was agin disconnected. I then attempted to make payment on - line. Your system would not connect to my Bank to authorise payment. I abandoned this. Eventually I managed to speak with someone who was able to process my renewal although again the telephone connection was poor and I struggled to understand him. He was however unfailingly polite and patient. I also attempted on - line 'chat. No - one answered after an unacceptable delay. I view my renewal experience as an hour of my life wasted. On the plus side your premiums are favourable.”

“Best price by far, had a small issue with getting my documents so contacted mce chat, Not sure if my chat helper Asia was having a bad day but unfortunately she was no help at all and even cut me off. But a quick call to the office and i got Tom Goodall and he had me sorted in minutes cheers Tom.”

“Price was best I could get. Even with mce bout 6 yrs always check around. Found the paying bit on web site a bit of a pain using a phone .”

“Almost impossible to speak to anyone on the phone. Charged me almost half my yearly premium after 2 days didn't even take the bike on the road after it broke down at dealership on a saterday. Tryed to speak to an advisor all weekend with no answer.”
