Renewed 7 weeks before renewal at motorcycle live and no documents. Phoned up 4 times to get correct documents. Wrong post code then wrong date had to explain to 4 different people to get it right.

Insurance expired 11th Dec 2016. No written notification luckily I had it written on a calendar. Phoned MCE about fours days before the 11th and was treated like a new customer no apology for not contacting me although they said they had rung. If no contact by phone I believe my insurance may have expired without my knowledge. Very worrying.

Took out a new policy on 28 November. Still not received a confirmation email or any documents, despite sending an email to yourselves. Not impressed at all with customer service.

Had a call which was pointless. I was asked whether I had received all details etc, my response was that if I had not had all the information I would have responded. Mce insurance is expensive and I wasn't sent a reminder this year. I would like the staff to deal with the real issues rather than waste time and money on pointless calls

Insurance documents are wrong and despite me phoning up, they still haven't been amended.

You send out reminders by e-mail and post. When you ring to renew a policy which has been held for a long time in order to actually get the price you then have to go through all of the 30 questions, I suspect at a premium rate. No other insurance sends out a renewel minus the price. The details should all be the same ie if you have not changed address or had a conviction but to be asked again for my date of birth which of course is set from , well shall we say, my date of birth, just to get the price is a joke. The person says "we are scripted" all well and good for a new customer but just to renew. Even asked for the registrations , hello same bikes or else I wouldn't be renewing.Wont use again but did this time as couldn't face 30 questions from Swinton !.

The service assistant asked me for the same ref number on 4 separate occasions , needs to pay attention to what he is told from the off , or possibly retraining would be better , has put me off going with MCE when I next need to insure .

I was trying to renew my comprehensive insurance for the same bike that your insurance was ending but your agent made the task difficult with all his questions relating to the bike that were on your system. This was not a new insurance, it was an extension of an existing one.

Called to get a new quote for my bike and the woman who answered was frankly rude, acting as if she would rather be doing anything else. When I thanked her for providing me with a quote and stated that I would not be taking out a policy immediately she proceeded to hang up without saying anything. Very unprofessional. I will be taking my business elsewhere

I had to change my bike twice over a 4 month period due to mechanical problems. Despite being a loyal customer and paying up front, no messing - they continue to charge extra for any slight change to policy. This year i have paid them well over £350 despite my original policy costing £120. No leaway. No return business.

Annoying when I want to price cover for my son who may be getting a part time evening job that he would now be using the bike more and the policy should be in his name. Not sure how how this assumption is calculated? If usage of the vehicle is being used to go to work a couple of nights a week, instead of visiting friends and family or indeed trips to the shop for us. His usage under mileage between us would be less? A price of £70.00 was given but quickly retracted after the advisor put me on hold to go and to chat to a manager. The word "fronting" was indirectly mentioned which on reflection is quite insulting as a life long bike enthusiast trying to pass my bug on to my son! Legally!!! Up until this I'd been very happy with the service setting up the policy.

I took out insurance a CBR600RR on 1st April 2016. I cancelled the policy today, 21st October and was told that there was no refund due, even though I still had 5 full months cover. How can this be??? The reason for cancelling was that I wanted to transfer the cover to another motorcycle, but they wanted more to transfer it for the remaining 5 months than I was quoted for 12 months cover with another company. I have been riding nearly 40 years, never made a claim in that time. I run 4 x motorcycles throughout the year and usually transfer cover from 1 to the other at any given time. I have NEVER had an instance where there wasn't a refund for cancelling a policy - even if it was a small figure. Will I ever use MCE again? I don't think so.

Got a renewal email with no value on it clicked the link to renew at the bottom of the page which takes you through a new online quote, which came out at £132, ok I thought. I called them back to renew over the phone "no problem they Said" went through all the questions again "just waiting for the price" it came out at £185. I then pointed out that I had done the online quote which was £132 why the difference? "that's the price" I repeatedly asked why was there a difference of over £50 all the girl kept repeating was "that's the price" I told them I wont be renewing and went with Bennets, I wonder how long before I get my NCD history? if I do get the run around it will be the insurance ombudsman for me. In conclusion Shoddy don't use
