“Very disappointed with Mce. had a multi bike policy for 4 yrs only to be told they won't insure my new H2 because it is supercharged but quite happily insure a certain celebrity bake off chef with the same bike. What's all that about?”

“waiting a week on documents keep hanging up when I ring can't tax my bike still waiting . I'd pay 10 times more than use them again . oh 1st time in 44 years iv ever felt so badly treated iv wrote a review or complained”

“Didn't receive my insurance documents promptly after paying, so used their online chat system to report it https://www.mceinsurance.com/live-chat/phplive/phplive.php?token=e275f5ce1785a5fade56430b84dd8627&1486397205. Shannon (Customer Support) was on the line who helped me instantly - emailing all the documents. Overall very happy with the service provided, thank you once again.”

“Very poor, had to make a claim due to motorbike being stolen, they just dragged their heels, you have to deal with their contractors for salvage/repairs because they dont bother and even they have no clue what is going on. Cant get hold of claims handler, she just avoids my calls. Absolutely useless.s my bike has sat in a compound for three months waiting for an engineers report!!!”

“AWFUL. Very unhelpful staff. Constant phonecalls even after you have taken out the insurance. I had to call MCE a further 4 times after I had taken out the policy just to ask them to stop ringing me. Each of these 4 times they said they would put a note on my policy. It was only after the 4th call by me that the calls seem to have stopped. I would have cancelled but due to my circumstances at the time I really didn't have the time. I will never ever use MCE again. I will gladly pay more (even a considerable amount more) just for decent non pestering service. This is the first time I have found the need to leave a negative review on vehicle insurance in 28 years of driving/ riding.”

“Been with MCE for 1 year and renewed my policy and then cancelled after 1 hour to be told there was a cancellation fee which I was not told when I set up the policy then to be told that I was when they listened to the call my policy had not even started. I also found the advisers very rude and abrupt. THIS IS THE LAST COMPANY I WOULD RECOMMEND I HAVE BEEN IN THE MOTOR TRADE FOR OVER 12 YEARS AND NEVER COME ACROSS A COMPANY LIKE THIS VERY VERY POOR. Also I am paying £85 more with a reputable company.”

“Only 3 stars (acceptable) because when accessing the Policy Documents via the MCE portal the file names used are poor i.e. "ow-E-CoveringletterNB" ... why not simply "MCE Welcome Letter"? Another e.g. "policy schedules.pdf" means what? Insurance policy or breakdown policy? Anyway this file consisted of one blank page! Attention to admin detail could be more professional. Presently confusing and sloppy.”

“Giving out late fees on the day the payment didn't come out, even though I told them the payment date I wanted to go ahead with as I didn't get paid on the day they took it, lied and said I never asked this. Extortionate prices and very rude chavvy telephone advisors AVOID”

“Price has massively increased from last year. The guy I spoke to on the phone was rattling through everything so fast I had to ask him to stop or slow down. Seemly over keen to get my money and too quick to run through the policy at lightning speed. Was still getting calls even after I reinsured with them. Probably think twice about going with them next year.”
