The customer service was as ever, polite and efficient for my motorcycle insurance renewal. I started with MCE because they are so competitive. I am staying with them because their customer service team are knowledgeable and helpful when I call. I had a question about winter garage storage which was answered in lucid plain English, that one can understand. I know MCE are brilliant on line with their easy log in. This is good if you want to check through your policy and insurance certificate in detail. But I prefer to talk to professional, if one has a question.

Price competitive but renewal call took 35minutes, 28minutes in a queue!

Probably the best price I've been quoted, granted I'm a convicted driver it was easy to get a quote and sort my insurance out,

Several attempts to get through to a person. Holding for a very long time with every call. Wanted to simply accept a renewal quote with no changes to the policy. Took forever. Next year will have to change insurance - can’t go through that again.

Great product and great price. You've got to sort your wait times out though guys for policy renewal calls. I imagine you are working on it and I do hope that you manage to improve on it. It wouldn't stop me using you again but it will definitely put some folk off. Online renewal has to be the answer or just employ more agents, which is great for human beings of course but perhaps not so great for the bottom line!

1hr 20 mins before any one answered. This was only to renew a policy. Shoukd be a team deals with renewals and take payment without this wait time. Quicker to put in details online and get a new quote

Four long calls to call centre to pay premium. Good price, though I’ll only find out if good insurance company should I claim which I never wish to do, fingers crossed

Very poor telephony service. Wanted to renew my insurance. Phoned at least 10 times. To be put through to the same persons, who’s English was a second language. I had to the repeat myself several times, sometimes having to raise my voice. I was then transferred to renewals. Phone was cut off each time. Very poor line quality (not my line) when speaking to anyone. Was going to insure with another company, but they quoted more. I finally renewed using the MCE website. Shockingly bad service. Very disappointed. This is a shame as always been happy to use MCE. Will be looking else where next year.

Absolutely shocking I spent ages looking for a phone number as I needed desperately to talk to an agent this has cost me more money and I am absolutely angry terrible

Look the renewal was eventually dealt with yesterday and renewed but I wanted to change my address and I was charged £17 for the pleasure and my policy would have ran out 5 days later. Most other insurance companies I have been with over the years wouldn’t have charged you for changing my home address as it was so close to the renewal date. The other point is I was put through to 3 different people for my renewal, the first two as had been said English was not their first language and the found it hard to understand me, thank god for the third guy Billy who dealt with and understood me very easily. Job done, but between the 3 people I had to deal with I was on the phone for the best part of 2 hours on hold most of the time NOT GOOD MCE! and dealing with the first two guys was VERY STRESSFUL! Over all not a good experience and I think 3 stars I have given has been quite generous.

Waited ages for someone to answer, finally, on a really bad phone line, had to shout 4 times for my postcode didn't help that English was a 2nd language to the person on the other end and everything thereafter needed repeated. Then so much waiting whilst "the system loaded my quote" took over an hour to do what should have been 10 mins.

Customer service staff are very hit and miss. One guy put his phone down on me rather than listen to what I was saying. Online quotes disapear if you do actually get through to Customer Services and you can no longer go back on line and continue with them. You have to start the whole process again back on the internet. Customer Services can't give new quotes over the phone you are forced to go back on line. The system is a mess. I dread what would happen if I ever needed to claim. It would be an utter nightmare. The company needs a comlete review of it's processes. It has lost it's way.
