Well cover's cover isn't it? They were cheap and I never needed to use. My only point of contact was when they autorenewed my policy which I didn't want and I called to ask them to turn off autorenewals next time but they said it wasn't in their terms of business to do that. So I binned them off. If they can't be flexible enough to do that - I very much doubt they'll be at all flexible/amenable If i have to make a claim with them!

£75 admin fee to change the cover to another motorbike! Turns out there are lots of hidden 'non-refundable' details in small print which need to be paid. These guys do not feel like a genuine and honest insurer. Dread to think what it would be like to make a claim. Probably best to keep looking if you can.

Honestly the worst insurance company I've used. They give you a price then double the price 2 months down the line

I had an accident that was entirely the fault of the car driver. Motorcycle direct have told me go to the underwriter Aviva who have told me to go to Motorcycle direct. MCD put me on to a third party claims manager 4-th dimension who immediately accused me of hitting the car even though I said the car hit me. And then washed its hands of the claim when I said I didn't want their courtesy vehicle. MCD has done its best to wash its hands of my claim. So has Aviva as the TP is also insured with them. Each has told me to go to the other ! Meanwhile I have a damaged scooter and helmet and an injury to my knee the doctor says is a torn ligament or cartilage. Insured with these ? it appears its a DIY job!!! Time for the ombudsman and court I think. !!

Really disappointing in that my bike has an alarm, an immobiliser, a tracker, disc locks, chains and an anchor and is locked in a brick garage in a gated area but none of this gets any discounts?!?!?!?!?

When i wanted to make a change to my policy after 2 weeks i was told it would cost £50 so i asked about cancelling it and was told it would be £75 .....i reported it to the insurance ombudsman and then they refunded me £20 as a "goodwill gesture" how do they charge £75 after 2 weeks? i will stay with them until my policy runs out and then i will find a better insurer. I would not recommend these to any of my friends.

They cancelled my policy. i rode my new bike without insurance for 4 months no knowing. I was bombarded with emails for my licence. When clicked on, it asked for my dob and email. I thought it was a fraud so i didn't reply. The "final Notice email" above the address says "to be sent 1st class" which they didn't do. They relied soley on email which im not interested in or use much. The letter in the post would have saved the policy from being cancelled. Very very bad.

when trying to get a second bike added to my policy, they claimed that the bike was not on there list. however they were happy to take over £300 to insure it as a separate policy with out using my 19 years no claims. as someone who works in the motorcycle trade I will definitely not be recommending there services to any of our customers

When I sold my motorbike and cancelled the policy which had six months remaining they refused to refund the remaining six months premium on the basis that they could not obtain a refund for £36.00 from the underwriter because of the charges they had incurred.

Motorcycles Direct communications are appalling. It was extremely difficult to get through to customer services. Took several attempts over several days. They didn't respond when I emailed, and they sent out a generic letter which didn't answer my query. I certainly won't use this company again.
