I visited the Northampton Riverside store last week for advice on fles treatment for a kitten. I spoke to a gentleman, who I believe to be a Manager. I felt very belittled and talked down to when he repeated the information 4 times!! Having spoken to friends, they have experienced very similar behaviour by this Manager. He customer service skills leave room for improvement to say the least!!!!

I have always purchased my cat litter & cat food for my 12 year old fussy cat from Pets At Home in Slough,Berkshire. However, since the beginning of the Coronavirus Pandemic I have been ordering from their on-line Home Delivery Service. Pets At Home have always provided me with an excellent service & I have never had any issues. DPD the courier which they use always provide an excellent & prompt delivery service. I'am an extremely happy & satisfied customer. Thank you Pets At Home.

Absolutely appalling customer service. I have been there for the second time to purchase a gold fish and for the second time on a Saturday I was told that they do not have enough staff to serve any customers, perhaps if I return tomorrow they could assist me. Never again, pricy, poor customer service and rather poor quality of livestock.

Go to pets at home in Coatbridge most months. I’ve never had any issues with the staff. All staff have been friendly and helpful. Tonight when I went I was looking for the 15kg bag of James well beloved, the girl called Jen went and got it for me while I continued shopping. I spent just over £70, girl who served me called Kirstie was very cheery and asked how I was and did I get everything that I needed. Jen then carried the dry dog food out to my car which was very kind of her. Another great experience.

Awful. Too busy upselling to listen. Wouldn't help with a fish purchase after I'd bought all of their useless water treatments because they would let me buy any fish before, oh and dead "live" plants then because they only had 2 staff in for the 6 customers in store wouldn't serve us. So just poor. Really really poor

6 staff in bangor co down having a team meeting in a circle - no masks - no social distancing. Madness. All customers were wearing masks, staff guy on the till was wearing a mask and behind a screen. Nearly intervened but could not get out quick enough

Found the chap at the Newton Mearns branch to be very arrogant and condescending. Continually talked over me whilst I was trying to explain what I was looking for. I ended up going to the Auldhouse branch instead where the staff were fantastic. However, that guy needs to seriously sort out whatever issues he has!

I started shopping at the Croydon store in Spring 2016 when my cat's vet put him on a ROYAL CANIN Vet Diet Feline which as you can imagine every month has been very costly, but well worth it for him. That plus a 25 litre bag of cat litter each month really adds up. I've always requested home delivery and from the first order, that has always been organised efficiently by the Croydon store and delivered by DPD. Sadly, the last four orders from 2019 to the current time have ALL been 'misrouted' to the store address. I have been patient and even apologised to customer services when I rang them on each occasion to inform them of the error. In every instance I have had to ring them more than once to discuss the same order. In each case the goods had to be reordered. Each time I spoke to an operator the store was blamed. When I spoke to the store, the store said that it was not their error. Yesterday the store assistant even showed me that my home address was submitted as the delivery address. He also said that other customers had complained about similar problems. In other words, Pets at Home were fully aware of the issues from the start. I had to speak to customer services, or head office as I was told, at 9.30am today when I was promised a ring back and at 2.30pm it still had not happened. I telephoned and cancelled my order. 10 minutes later someone rang. I told him that it was probably because I had cancelled my order. Most people would have stopped using your ordering service after the 2nd error considering that it has ben allowed to go on for such a very very very long tome, over 6 months. I am so disappointed with the ordering service and the slow response of customer service, but not the Croydon store.

Very disappointing visit today to your sore on Bride of don Aberdeen We waited in que for 15 minutes to get served as only one guy serving, once served he rang though our goods, he then asked if he could get our VIP card, to which my partner said we do not have one, he then asked for out post code, again my partner answered no its okay we don’t have one a VIP card, We then said we also have some dog food that we ordered to pick up, so he went off and got this for us, when he came back he then asked for the postcode again, this time I said we don’t have a VIP card, can we just pay for these good please, he then got aggressive with me saying aggression will not be tolerated, clearly he mixed up my frustration with aggression, he then made us stand for 3-4 minutes saying apologise or I will not serve you, I replied I am not apologising for something I have not done, he then threated me with police, at that point I asked if possible to speak to the manager this he refused, again saying he would get police to take me away in a global pandemic, not really sure what he was on about at this stage, so it was a bit off a standoff, big que behind me, checkout guy demanding I apologise, he then suggested that he would serve my partner and not me, so fine, I gave her my card to pay, and off we went. Communication issue? Over reaction? Not understanding what was said with face masks on? Under staffed, only one checkout operator on? Pick one from above, or maybe he just had a bad day and vented his anger at me His name was JP(on his name badge), he goaded me to complain, so hear it is. I guess most likely this will go unanswered, the internet is a great place for others to see...

My dog had a skin infection caused they said by a grass allergy. They recommended a shampoo at £21 which I bought. When I wanted something else they recommended the same again as it wasnt clearing up theyd put the price up to £26. Talk about taking the pee!! Not happy anymore with this company, its all about profit. I can buy the same product online for less than £13... Blackheath branch S. LONDON

Customer service rude, within shop and on email. Rabbits being sold singularly and inadequate housing being recommended

I ordered four bags of cat litter from Pets at home Twenty days ago, two arrived very quickly with no problems the other two have entirely vanished in transit. Phoned DPD who advised I contact Pets at Home, guess what they are uncontactable, phone and email services are suspended and the wait for live chat had 293 people ahead of me. Parcel and money lost. Orders from them previously have been so badly packed the contents of cat food were squashed and dented with small items missing. I will never use this company again.

I have been a regular customer of Pets at Home (Charlton) and would like to commend one of the staff members on their professional attitude and excellent customer service. Chrissie (customer service advisor), always provides expert advice, has vast knowledge about many of the various products that are sold throughout the store and always looks to provide the best deals possible. With the variety of pets that we have as a family, Chrissie has always ensured that we always have an incentive to return. An extremely satisfied and happy customer!

I usually shop in Charlton petsathome store, they have been so helpful and are cheerful and the store has just about everything you could want. I have been in lockdown for months now and I’ve been buying online, it’s so easy even I can do it. Computers and I are not Compatible lol 😂. Even so I order and it’s delivered free of charge, I find the courier friendly and everything arrives undamaged and in a timely fashion. I think even when COVID-19 lockdown is lifted I will keep ordering online, it will save me dragging it all home. I love their range of supplies. I can recommend the store and their online facilities. Regards Annie

Went into oban branch. None of the girls keeping 2m distance between each other and no masks or gloves. I know it's not compulsory but you would think they would want to wear these for safety of themselves and others. Will not go back in until the virus has gone. Don't feel safe.

Pets At Home (Biggleswade) too often confuse being asked for something with being asked for advice. Most people are good pet owners who love and know their animals well from many years of responsible ownership. In your grooming sections, please do as is asked and do not think that your position qualifies you to give unsolicited opinions on your preferences of cut based on the breed of dog. I received a similar, patronising lecture when buying a small fish for our son. One too many for me; never again.
