Terrible. More than two months after waiving the excess on my claim I'm yet to receive back the £250 I'm owed. Most emails to their customer service were just ignored. Multiple phone calls have all received a different answer as to how to get back the excess. I've now had to contact the garage. Their approved garage were also very poor. They didn't properly repair the car the first time, and then tried to charge me hundreds of pounds for a new a/c compressor when I returned it. When I refused to pay, they 'magically' tightened a belt and fixed the problem ;-) Would never use swiftcover again.

I have a claim that I have agreed. I now have no car (the courtesy one was given back on Saturday) and I have been told by Copart, that they have sent the money to Swift, and the money should be in my bank in the next 7 working days. I have tried numerous times to contact Swift, but cannot wait for more that 30 minutes, as I have a life!

Appalled that a company in this day an age still thinks it's acceptable to treat people this badly. I'm currently on hold, so far it's just an hour, but have previously waited much longer. It is totally impossible to get anything done (complaining on Twitter gets a little more response but doesn't;t get anything actually done) while you have a claim with this company as you spend your whole life chasing them, on hold, and basically getting nowhere. I couldn't be more angry with a company than I am with this company.

I've been on hold with Swift Cover for over 2 and a half hours so decided to kill a bit of time and write a review. I need to chase them up after they promised last week to close an open claim against me (there was no damage to either vehicle). My renewal quote is almost double as a result. Unfortunately with an open claim I don't think I can change companies so I am stuck with Swift Cover for the foreseeable. If I was a customer relations manager at Swift Cover reading other reviews here, I'd be concerned. Swift Cover, now that you have me as a captive customer against my wishes please sort out your tiresome inadequacies and that absolutely dreadful on hold music.

Avoid at all cost. Shocking customer service. Minimum of 45 minute wait to speak to anyone, who will pass you from pillar to post without achieving anything. All they are interested in is your money.

All i can say is you never know how good or bad your insurance is until you needed it and when i needed it it was bad. So bad i found i had a CCJ issued against me simply because the company never responded to the other party. I only found this out by accident. Axa i assume are the underwriters did get it removed but it should never of happened in the first place. Ended up in court and won the case but good old swift haven't updated there records after a month so i cant pass the no fault to my new insurers as i wasn't going to stay with them. Cant get through on the phone to resolve. Rang 6 times and just get the same music. Very Poor

shocking - poor service on a bad claim, wait times over an hour, passed from piller to post. Now being handled by external party as they are not interested in protecting you their customer.

5 hours I had to wait for a connection with the consultant, always! Many times, never received help after an accident Being a victim, not the perpetrator of the accident insurance company Swiftcover stole my five years of discounts after 6 months of car repair company making a repair is still waiting for money for performed work (big shame) and swift cover does not close claim lest charge the customer a greater fee in the next year, bravo never again be using the services of this company, have a nice day

Been insured with Swiftcover for 4 years, never make a claim. Quoted £300 for renewal, asked if I could make payments monthly (as it was near Christmas and I get paid after Christmas), quoted over £900 ! Goodbye Swiftcover ! I'm going elsewhere for my insurance now !

It took an hour to answer the phone when reporting the accident. Thereafter the repair was handed to Nationwide who were excellent and Enterprise for the hire car who were also excellent. I have now been trying to contact Swiftcover for 3 weeks by phone and email but sadly no response; 90 minutes on the phone on Friday and all I got was a voice message telling me a representative would answer shortly. The one they are not and that is Swift

Absolutely shocking customer service, it took 2 days from reporting the claim to getting a courtesy car, one that was significantly smaller engine and smaller car which led to having to hire my own car, a cost that swiftcover refused to pay, as I was moving from the north to the south of England and couldn't fit my belongings in the 1 litre car that was offered. Spent 2 days receiving non stop calls from repairers and car rescue companies who didn't know what was going on or even where my car was going to be repaired and several hours on hold and speaking to rude, unhelpful staff at swiftcover. Avoid at all costs!!

My 80 year old mother in law had a buildings and contents policy with Swift for several years. In February she went into a care home suffering from severe dementia. Swift would not cover her unoccupied policy for buildings only insurance so we took out a policy elsewhere whilst her bungalow was for sale. Rather than cancel the policy with a short time to run we wrote and told them she would not be renewing (and why) and cancelled the direct debit once the final premium for that year had been paid. Unfortunately they would only speak to the policy holder before they would cancel the policy, even at renewal and although they wouldn't insure an empty property anyway. They are now pursuing her for money to renew the policy and threatening her with court action. Mercifully she is completely oblivious to all this. What ever happened to common sense! Employees of Swift seem to of had theirs removed on their first day.

Online maintenance of a motor policy is what attracted me in the first place, initially with reasonable premiums too. You only really know the quality of an insurer when you make a claim or decide not to renew. My partner made a no-fault claim and this was a very protracted experience, the main problem being you’re not allocated a claims handler, so each communication is always from a different person who doesn’t know (or hasn’t bothered to read) the past history. It was settled in the end but not before my partner opted to take it to court. My own hiked premium this year encouraged me to look at the market. My Swiftcover (part of the AXA group) policy did not include Personal Accident, Legal Assistance, Courtesy Car, etc. but I found alternative cover which included all these for a much lower premium. My main issue occurred when I wanted to cancel at the renewal date (they do automatic renewals). Despite it being an online policy they don’t allow you to cancel online so you have the hassle of calling to discuss. I cancelled the policy and received a confirmation e-mail and took out the new policy elsewhere. At the renewal date I received a text from Swiftcover saying “Good news! You’re Swiftcovered again! Thank you for choosing us again”. I was straight on the case and they had indeed charged the whole premium to my credit card. I see this as pure theft and they refuse to make immediate repayment saying we have a 7-day refund policy!! Again, every communication is from a different person. AVOID AT ALL COSTS or you’ll regret it in the end.

I had a policy with Swift Cover, for home insurance (I paid upfront for the year). When it recently expired, I went with a different company. A few weeks ago, Swift sent me a letter saying I owe them money! The tone was quite aggressive. I rang, they reckoned they had e-mailed and written (I hadn't received anything), telling me when my policy was due to expire. I told them I'm not interested, I've got cover. I've had a letter today, saying they want £31 and that if I don't pay, the amount increases, and that letters they send will be charged for too! I told themI'm not paying, can't pay, won't pay. They say that they automatically renew the annual policy. Cheeky gits. They can whistle for it
