We have always had high quality mattresses from Europe and after returning to the UK couldn’t find what we wanted to fit our European size bed…until Get Laid Beds! Amazing mattress great price fabulous delivery and we’ve slept so well on the new ones we’re very happy!

Ordering process was easy but still hasn’t been delivered nearly a week after it was due. FedEx gave a four hour delivery slot but didn’t show up on time. Failed to deliver & just put card through door no redelivery attempted. Tracking app not working. Poor service overall quite disappointing

Missing 35mm screw. The solid oak beds state an electric screwdriver is required for assembly but this was not possible and I had to use a drill with a screwdriver attachment to put in the largest screws - even then one of the screws would not go in. This was particularly due to poor positioning of the screw holes meaning a screwdriver/drill could not be used perpendicularly to the holes. There are also several small scratches on the exterior of the oak which is disappointing considering the cost of the bed.

Very good quality bed, that was fairly straightforward to put together. Feels strong and sturdy after a first night’s sleep. Only minor complaint is the there were several small components that were very tiny and easy to miss on the instructions and we didn’t figure out where they were meant to go until halfway through building so we had to undo our work and start again. Our fault for missing them but if the pictures on the instructions could be printed larger on the page it would be much easier to understand every detail.

The website was straightforward to navigate and the bed options easy to understand. Get Laid Beds communicated updates on manufacture and delivery well and the bed arrived on time. The delivery driver from the delivery company, FedEx, was a bit grumpy. Additional information on assembling beds would be a useful additional to the website or youtube videos showing the beds being put together with your fitters explaining important things to look out for.

We were really disappointed with our experience with Get Laid Beds (GLB). We chose them as they were a UK company, the beds were handmade and we had heard positive feedback. Unfortunately there were a number of issues with our order/ experience and that has left us disappointed, to the point that to be honest it's ruined the bed for us a little as by the time it was useable, we were just so done with the whole thing. Do we have a bed? yes. Would I purchase here again? Uncertain. When our order arrived there was supposed to be a bedframe, mattress protector and mattress. When the delivery arrived however there was only the flat packed bedframe. The delivery men advised the order was complete and to speak to the company. We emailed GLB, but by lunchtime the next working day we still hadn't had a response so then rang them. The staff we spoke to were lovely and said this was an error from their side and they would arrange for our missing items to be delivered at a date convenient for us. We selected the day after next. The day arrived- no delivery. We rang up again and spoke to a different, equally lovely member of staff, explaining what had happened. They said they would get back to us as they needed to look into this. We eventually got an email advising of the same error and that they would arrange delivery. Over the next couple of weeks we had to repeatedly email GLB to chase them for updates, with the mattress protector arriving alone and then approximately 2 weeks after it should have been delivered the mattress. The staff we dealt with were very nice, we cannot stress that enough, and we did get the items we ordered as well as a refund of the delivery costs. However, this went on for over 2 weeks, with us having to chase for updates and by the time the bed arrived we were at a point of wishing we had just requested a refund and cancelled the mattress portion from the start. It should also be highlighted that the mattresses do not come 'rolled' so if you have not measured correctly in terms of route to the bed- good luck! Due to how far away we are from the company's base they could not offer the function where they build it for you, only flat pack delivery. This led to our next issue once all the parts required had arrived. My partner and I have built a lot of furniture over the years, including IKEA pieces. We are not novice furniture flat pack builders. The instructions for building the bed frame (4 poster ottoman) are the worst instructions we have ever tried to use. What was most frustrating about this, besides trying to decipher awful assembly instructions while trying to build a bed, was that some extremely simple amendments could have made them excellent assembly instructions- Colour images, labelling the bed parts and matching them to the parts of the instruction sheets, written guidance regarding when to do which part, or even better a printed web address link to a youtube video of them buidling the bed that you could follow along. The instructions being as poor as they were meant that it took us so much longer than necessary and some parts we had to undo to then redo because we had got the order wrong. We also ordered the black satin finish, but the images on the website and what is currently errected in our bedroom do not match up. It looks more of a dark walnut brown in colour. There was also some minor damage to the wood, we suspect from the couriers as they weren't exactly delicate. We could have gone back to GLB about it, but by that point we were very done with all of it and just wanted to put the whole experience behind us. Had we not had the issues with the delivery that we did and had the buidling process not be so frustrating and unnecessarily poor, this would have been a completely different review but we just can't get over how disappointed those things have left us.

Daughter was after a new bed for her room. Struggled to find a decent single 4-poster bed online - lots to be found, but not single, or if they were, didn't look that great. The bed we found from Get Laid Beds was a fair bit more in price, compared to others, but certainly very solid and robust. No problems with service, nice to be able to choose a date for delivery, and item turned up on that agreed date.

Absolutely gorgeous bed and easy to put together with 2 people. Thank you! It’s sturdy and seems like it will last forever. I love that it has real wooden slats screwed down instead of those ones that pop off and break. I got the space saver platform bed so I can fit storage underneath it and the base doesn’t stick out beyond the mattress, giving you more room in your bedroom (and you’re less likely to stub your toe on the corner!). Best big furniture purchase I’ve ever made. x

Website very easy to navigate, with a great range of products at very reasonable prices. Ordering process very simple and being able to pick a delivery date is really useful if the product isn't required immediately....would thoroughly recommend....

Excellent service and helpful advice. I discussed my purchase with Ellie several times to ensure that my purchase met my needs. I had previously purchased the Ohio Chaise Lounge and I wanted to adapt it to a Day Bed style. The appropriate parts required were identified and made to my requirements. I was given a good delivery date which was met. The additional part has made the bed exactly as I required. This is top level individual service and craftsmanship. Thank you very much

I have had the delivery of the two beds this morning however, I wanted to raise a few concerns. Firstly, there was some damage to the Low Oriental Bed (Space Saver). Secondly, the instruction manual we received for the Low Tokyo Bed was incorrect, we managed to get it together in the end but it took use longer than expected due to the lack of resources.

The worst delivery experience of my life -bar none. I ordered quite an expensive walnut bed from this company because it looked nice and I thought give a little UK company a chance. How wrong I was. Don't do it. The delivery was scheduled for Thursday 3rd April. We got rid of the old bed and waited in all day. No bed. I called up to betold that the delivery company only deliver to Devon on a Tuesday. Well why have a system that allows a Thursday booking then ? The girl on the phone was very apologetic, waited the delivery fee and said it would be out on Saturday between 10-1. Great i thought, mistakes happen. The bed was delivered on time and I set about assembling it. No screws or bolts !!! I checked everything, they were not there. How can this be ? With no bed however I had to go to B&Q to buy 70 items for £20. If I had wanted a DIY project I would have started one. Hours later the bed was finished and my wife said - don't give them a terrible review, phone them up. I did that and some officious man asked me for a £20 receipt. Frankly i was looking for more than £20 on a £2100 bed and if they really think i am trying to scam them I will just right a bad review and tell everybody I know not to make the same mistake. Get Laid - well i was screwed.

The Delivery company has made us aware of their postcode matrix yet this one was not stated as a limited area. Unfortunately they failed to deliver some key parts (all the screws and fittings!) so I’ve had to put the mattress on the floor and keep my bedroom and house in a mess until I get the parts delivered. They apologised and sent the missing parts out via Royal Mail, but no compensation and no expediency. The bed looks good and well made, can’t say more about it right now!
