“The shop very quickly ran out of stock and although some replenishment occurred, it was minimal and limited in sizes. The sizes were very variable with a large ladies hoodie fitting my slim 10 year old. On my return from the games I ordered a hoodie for my daughter which we were told would be delayed a week but in fact never arrived despite waiting 3 weeks to be told this. The games were fantastic but this was a real let down as my daughter now has no moment of the games.”

“Good clear website. The only drawback was when I asked about acquiring some daily programmes which I hadn't managed to obtain I got an email back saying that there were none left; then soon thereafter some appeared on the website; fortunately I kept checking the website and managed to acquire them. Not a problem really, my enquiry probably crossed with the arrival of the stock. Overall a good efficient service and very nice people to deal with.”

“Ordered goods, gave an approximate delivery date at point of order. Goods arrived within the stated time and information regarding delivery was very good. Goods received were as stated and of good quality.”

“The service as been well below what I would normally expect. I do appreciate that due to high demand a number of items were out of stock , but this was not made clear on ordering! I had to chase to get any responses and then they took a couple of days to respond On top of that items I had ordered and out of stock were now being offered at a considerable reduction ? A shame really as the games were great but the shop customer response and service is abissmal !”

“Having viewed the website before visiting the Games, I had a idea of what I wanted to purchase, but decided to wait until I was in Glasgow. When I got to the venue and went to the shop to purchase EVC ladies rugby shirt, I was disappointed to find that it was not available from the venue. A little annoyed maybe too as it was my understanding that I could buy from the venue. Not deterred, I decided to buy online when I returned home, which I did! I placed the order on the 28th July and once confirmed, I saw that 2 of the items I had ordered were out of stock presently and would be sent within 10-14 working days. Not a problem. However 15 days later I decided to chase my order as I had heard nothing. Only to be told that one of the items I had ordered ( the ladies rugby shirt, which was in stock when I ordered!) was now out of stock and were no longer going to be able to be produced. Why was this available when I ordered and as I had to wait for the Clydes and a polo shirt to be in stock, this was no longer available? The mans polo shirt which was out of stock at the time of order was also still out of stock and no longer going to be produced. The call operator just said to me, well I can refund the money for the items that aren't in stock or cancel the whole order. I do wonder if I had not chased my order, when I would have found out? So very disappointed in my experience of shopping at Glasgow 2014!”

“I placed an order during the games. It did not arrive. When I enquired I was told ladies polo shirt was out of stock and no more would be received as the games are over. The order was placed during the games so could have been informed rather than me having to enquire.”

“When i used the Glasgow 2014 shop to order t-shirts the website accepted my full order and was in full stock. When after a week of waiting for my order i inquired about it, i was told that some of the items i had ordered were no longer in stock so i have only received half my original order. Also the sizing is poor, I'm a size 12/14 and ordered a large t-shirt and it is tight on me and i ordered an age 9-10 for my 8yr old child and it is neat on him.”

“I ordered my goods on 3rd August when one item was listed as out of stock. I assumed the other items would be sent out and the out of stock one would follow. By the 18th I had heard no more so phoned the help line. I was told two items were out of stock and as the games were over they would not be getting any more in and that was the reason for the hold up of the whole order. I asked why they could not have told me this sooner and the reply was that they were very busy. As I was due to go on holiday I was told they could either process the order straight away or wait till I was home. I asked for it now and it arrived on 20th August. Good service in the end but too long a delay initially. One item ordered was sent in the wrong size and although the other sizes are correct they are all on the small side.”

“I just feel that they under budgeted for the merchandise as I ordered a kilted mug and they said it was in stock and when it hadn't arrived I enquired to be told they were sold out. I feel they should have accounted for more supplies due to public demand.”
