Ordered two pairs of sunglasses for £22. One to be plain lenses one to be prescription after 23 days both arrived plain. Think that shipping times have all been effected by Covid they must have their labs abroad I guess. Not too impressed with frames I could have bought plain sunglasses a lot cheaper elsewhere. Actually I have just ordered a pair for £1 expected delivery 10 days. Glasses Direct accepted straight away they had made a mistake. Only way I can resolve issue is to send them back... Simple I hear you say...but I'm shielded and can't visit the post office until it's safe and I'm not going to ask someone else to take the risk for £22..... But I can't have them replaced until I get to the post office they tell me I have 90 days to get around to it. A lot of businesses have made exceptions during covid but not Glasses Direct it appears. It would be crazy of me to take risks for £22 so I won't be bothering but don't use them if you are old fashioned like me and expect their fault to remain their fault and not become yours.

Glassesdirect have not acknowledged return of glasses. Glassesdirect do not answer the telephone. Glassesdirect have not replied to emails. Glassesdirect are not a company I will trust ever again.

Placed an order in mid may and have still not even been given an accurate ETA for the delivery. Was initially told that there will be a 2-3 week delay from the usual time of 1-2 weeks - I am not a mathematician but i'm pretty sure if you add 2-3 weeks to 1-2 weeks you do not get 7+weeks! I am extremely disappointed that they have subsequently flagged my review to Trustpilot in order to have it removed despite me giving only the facts.

I placed my order on the 13th of June, by the 3rd of July I emailed on four separate occasions for an update on my order but I did not get one reply. Today the 6th of July I tried to contact them by telephone, I was left listening to music for over 20 minutes at international rates before hanging up. Thankfully I paid by pay pal and I cancelled my order this morning. Within an hour I was notified by pay pal they had accepted my request for a refund. Amazing they replied to PayPal within an hour but failed to reply to me for almost a month. Also to note I have not received as much as an apology for a disgusting and unprofessional service. Takes far to long it bin saying sent to laboratory for a week and it's stupid so I asked for a refund as takes to long and they take ages picking up the bloody phone what a waste of time and money . Avoid!

Ordered 10 pairs of glasses over the last 5 years never had any problems. The last two pairs I got 2 months ago. One of the pairs had small scratches all over them, despite having scratch resistant covering. I returned them and was told I must have scratched them whilst cleaning and would have to pay another £40 to have them re coated with the same failed scratch resistant coating. Having worn glasses daily for over 30 years I know how to clean them and also realistic about the conditions lenses should be in after 2 months of wear! Very poor customer service. Avoid completely I know I will from now on.

Glasses are OK but not happy with misleading marketing? They advertise the glasses coming with a really nice Timerland water bottle and this influenced my decision to buy. No water bottle arrives and initial response is "we will send them out". One day later I get a "sorry but none left" When I ordered there was nothing telling me that they had run out and they were still advertising the bottle. Not acceptable!

Rubbish quality control - both pairs of glasses had wonky arms on delivery. One pair was bent so wide you'd need two heads for it to fit on. Called customer service to see what happens if I return one - as it was buy one get one free on frames I'd only get £20 back from a total price of £75. If I wanted to spend £55 on one pair of wonky glasses then I'd have gone to a designer store and trodden on some.

Shocking customer service Ordered had it confirmed and waited 3 weeks when I chased It their attitude was “oh well” “ do you want to cancel” Refunds the much longer to get back than they took the money - bunch of jokers There are so many retailers that now do this I would recommend someone else if you want to get something or like the service

Buyer beware! Normal glasses are only covered by a 30 day guarantee!. Therefore if they become defective after this period they will not replace them. If you buy cheap, you will get cheap. Avoid

Glasses were great on receipt and for a while, but gradually become a nightmare in just a few months :( The problem is that the (so called) scratch resistance is totally non-existent, leaving my glasses looking like they have been through sand paper!! I reported it to Glasses Direct and sent them back to be checked and of course remedied. Yet they just said there was nothing wrong with them and sent them back to me :O I have got reading glasses that I wear every day and just stick them in my pocket (no case) that I have had for years. These have not one scratch on them. Yet I keep my Glasses Direct glasses in a case when not worn and only ever use proper glasses cleaning cloths on them at all times. They are a very poor company :(

Don't be fooled by the low prices...the saying "if it sounds too good to be true"...is 100% relevant here! I ordered 2 pairs but only one pair arrived. Despite numerous attempts to explain this, I just gave up as no one really seems interested. A bad job. I'd sooner pay a little more, get better quality and get what I ordered!

If I could give this no stars, I would. I ordered the glasses a bit over a year ago and have worn them every day. I recently started having a lot of eye pain, dizziness and feeling sick. Turns out, the glasses I ordered from here are not even CLOSE to the prescription that I sent them. The two lense strengths are the same (shouldn't be) and 0.5-0.75 weaker in both eyes than what is on the prescription I sent them. Tried to get a refund and was told I could send the glasses back, but at my own cost (I am now living abroad, paid the postage for this in the first place and the return would be as a result of their deception, why should I?) and that the refund wasn't guarenteed anyway. Complete waste of money, rubbish customer service, just sending you any glasses you could get in a supermarket for a marked up price. And my eye health has negatively suffered because of it. Disgusting.

Initially I was happy with my purchase but the frames are extremely flimsy and one lense has popped out on a few occasions. The worst part is the lenses themselves which get very easily scratched (despite being advertised with an anti-scratch coating), even if you only clean with the provided microfibre cloth. I tried to get a replacement pair but they refused, instead blaming me for mishandling. A second pair I bought (sunglasses) are also flimsy and there is a chip in the plastic frame. All in all, the low price does not compensate for the poor quality of these glasses and you may be left looking for new ones after 3 months. Not Recommended.

Much the same as some others reviews: Ordered 2 pairs costing £277, supplied my new prescription and photo showing PD measurement. Then nothing, but payment had been taken in a timely fashion! Order status = with opticians, time and time again! Chased them, they have not received the information! Sent it again!! 3 times the information had been sent. I cancelled the order, guess what they found my information!? My phone call was clear and concise, a full refund now! Just save your time and find a decent supplier.

Poor website. Took my money without yet asking for a delivery address, then defaulted to a very old work address. Took over 24 hours to get through on the phone (they hadn't answered my 2 emails sent). They agreed to speak to the courier, but not sure they did, because the glasses still went to the wrong place, where I can't retrieve them. Have emailed again, and 4 days later they've not replied. Wish I'd checked these reviews first. You don't get 60% of customers leaving a 1* review by fluke.

Awful Awful Awful experience. Had bought glasses from them before without problem, so entered new prescription and ordered again. Received a snotty email demanding a signed prescription copy, as I was clearly incapable of transcribing it correctly onto their site. I was annoyed but sent them a PDF of it. Only to get an even snottier email from their nasty "customer disservices" claiming they could not open my PDF as it was an "unknown format". I checked. it was a PDF!!! i tried to phone umpteen times and was left on endless hold. Eventually lost patience, left a message and asked for a refund. An hour later, there was a phone call from an abusive young woman whose command of English grammar was awful and she was very sneering in tone, claiming I had "clearly made a mistake" (one of my eyes is + the other - it is NOT a mistake) I pointed out she could have sent a decent email saying they found the prescription unusual, and could I please confirm it with them and send a copy of the prescription? But no, easier to make out i am completely stupid............... She became more and more sneering and abusive then terminated the call after saying the refund had been processed. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!

So, I bought a pair of varifocals, and got a free pair. They send the ‘free’ pair first, I tried them on and they were terrible. Not my prescription, and dangerous to use. So I sent them back. The other pair arrived, all ok. Weeks later, they emailed me to say they can’t process a refund, as they sent me READING glasses, and not varifocals. Be aware they’ll happily take your hard earned, and send something for ‘free’ that’s completely no use to you. Customer service is laughable, you can never get anyone to answer the phone, and it takes days to even answer an email. They don’t look at the email trail, so don’t even answer your query properly. This company is a joke. Avoid at all costs. Wish I’d gone back to specsavers!
