“1. The course joining instructions were ambiguous, resulting in one employee travelling from Amsterdam to London to a location where he thought he was getting on-site instructor-led training, only to find that site was a remote video link into another UK location - which he could have done directly from Amsterdam without any travel!!! Another employee had travelled to the same site also under the same illusion. Not good enough. Clarity over whether the course location delivers an in-person or virtual experienced needs to be improved. 2. The multiple windows of the Hyper-V environment used for the labs was very difficult to navigate making it a source of irritation and frustration. This distracted from the learning experience. 3. Some of the labs just did not work for some attendees - the debugging was a useful extra-curricular experience but in some instances the "errors" could not be overcome - even by the instructor - the VM environment being used cited as the major contributor . (1), (2) and (3) are the reason why this course is marked down. 4. The instructor was excellent. 5. The course content and the concepts behind the labs were excellent. 6. having been through to the end of this review once, I find it is geared to providing nice "happy" answers. A more objective setting of feedback questions would have been appreciated, hence why all this text is placed here - there's no other placeholder to feedback what one really thought or got out of the investment in this course.”
“Extremely knowledgeable instructors and course content. However, for the price paid to attend the course, I would expect the manuals to be in colour, which they weren't. Colour helps with revision and distinguishing topics / answers etc and would have been really helpful to have, so this was the only disappointing thing about GK for me.”
“Very knowledgeable teacher, who explained the concepts and framework of TOGAF very well.
Helped me understand the differences between key components of the Framework
Used relevant examples to explain complex parts of the curriculum”
“The course was very well received, I learnt a lot from it that was useful for my current job. When working with Global Knowledge myself rather than my company, they were very helpful and were able to give me the information I needed promptly.”
“The organisation of the course and the communication given was abysmal! The provided laptops were not fit for purpose, the logins supplied had expired, we were given incorrect start/end times, were kicked out the building early, had to sort out the demo VMs with virtually no assistance.
The course material was ok. The slides and demos were a bit out of date.”
“The course manual arrived in time. This was my first experience of the course in a virtual environment. I did not feel left out of the classroom, I was able to interact with the class and the trainer. The Trainer was very good. He recognized the need for frequent short breaks. I passed and it was an excellent experience. I will always pick the virtual option if given a choice. Its more comfortable and less stressful to do training from the comfort of home. Thank You for an excellent experience.”
“The trainer was excellent and he made learning easy and fun. He used good analogies and was very helpful when you couldn't grasp a concept. The course content was pitched just right. The venue was good - even though we could see train tracks from the classroom window and we could see trains going past, we were not disturbed by noise.”
