“I have now bought 3 of the SKNYFlex. I always wear them for gardening because of the knee patch (for clean kneeling, even in wet Tasmania) and the versatile pockets and tabs, includingfour my phone and my secateurs.
I also have a pair of the cargos for everyday wear.... simply because of the leg pocket for my phone and the long side pockets.
I do wish all the pants, including the shorts, accommodated phones. If so then I would buy them! Also, some non tradie colours would be nice! And slightly longer shorts!”
“I wish I could give Green Hip more than 5 stars. When I first started my apprenticeship, my company gave me uniforms - men's sizes only. To wear pants that were way too baggy and shirts that came down to my knees was awful. It was embarrassing and made me feel like a temporary employee. “Green Hip has the perfect clothing for me to work my large garden. It's the details that matter. The extra loops on the pants for your belt which allows plenty of support for the secateurs holder. The trouser button on a short strong ribbon so it's easier to do up. The extra-long side pocket on the leg for tools. I also use the long sleeved shirts (both weights), which are particularly useful when I'm clearing the weedy undergrowth. I'm a very happy customer.”

“I now have three styles of pants. I love that I have a place for secateurs on all the styles, but the cargo pants offer a secure pocket for a phone and a place to hang a mallet. The half elastic waist on my first pair was great feature as my body shape fluctuates.
Gardener green hides the dirt well. I can’t wear the khaki to the shops with stained knees anymore.
I also have the extended long sleeved shirt. I was worried when it got a tear from a thorny rose, but the hole hasn’t grown any larger, only frayed a little after 4 years of washing.
I wear these clothes year round. I pull the collar up on hot days and in chilly weather. Sun protection is an obvious plus, but the length of the pants and sleeves are the best protection against insect bites.
My wish list is to see a heavier weight drill shirt for tougher jobs and cooler weather.”
