“ Yesterday I got some legal advice from a family member that specialises is criminal law, as I previously stated you took payment for 3 advert that you are refusing to refund because of what you say is I breached T&C’s but funnily enough can not tell me what exactly I’ve breached, fortunately for me I screenshot the 3rd advert before submitting it to you with payment which I was able to show her and she said NO T&C’s have been broken and also when I spoke to a member of your staff her words were “I can’t see anything wrong with them, I will have to escalate this higher” So I think we can agree that your T&C’s clearly state you can keep the money paid for the add IF T&C’s have been breached, IF T&C’s have NOT been breached then it is you that is illegally obtaining funds making you a fraudster and considering you tell EVERYONE they have breached T&C’s with ABSOLUTELY NO EXPLANATION AS TO HOW shows that it’s you breaking the law by breaking the legal agreement that is between the consumer and yourselves. ”

“ Paid to advertise for 2 weeks featured they removed my ad few days later so I asked them to refund my money they refused. I understand the £2.99 fee but the £20 for 2 weeks featured to not refund that is disgusting. I will be taking this further clearly you’ve been ripping loads of people off your company should be prosecuted ”

“ Rude staff. Hadn't used the site in years, posted an ad selling tickets & paid for 2 weeks front row space. Within a few hours the advert was removed, when contacting their online support, they failed to explain why but instead, supplied a 'Policy Rules' link, when I questioned this & asked for a refund, Gumtree rep then terminated the chat without any explanation. Customer care, pathetic but happy to take your money. AVOID ”

“ Third rate customer service provided by this third rate company. They take your money from your bank account and then do not allow you to post your add. You have to constantly chase them up to refund your money. They do not respond to emails and the live chat service they offer is mostly off line. Stay away from this unprofessional company!!! ”

“ Gum tree has no policy to help buyers. Be very a where if you want a refund gum tree will not help you. Gum tree very in safe when it comes to refunds. Always use Paypal, never use direct debit or credit card ”
