Uber sucks. The service specifically. I’ve called three different times and still no help. I was put on hold for a long time, then they hang up. This is the worst riding app to exist and to top it all off, they make it almost impossible to get ahold of the customer service number because they know they won’t do anything to help. Just a bunch of lazy and rude people who shouldn’t be working as customer service if they won’t give any services. Simple as that!

They lied to me TWICE the last few days saying that they will get specialized team to call me back just so I can hung up. I NEVER received a call back and when I called today they said that there is no such thing as specialized team will call back. TERRIBLE company.

The absolute worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. Every person is useless, will transfer you a million times without informing you first (and they don’t take notes or keep records so you have to explain the issues a million times) and then will lie to you to end the call while doing absolutely nothing to resolve the issue. I’ve contacted customer support probably for 15 different issues and every time it is an absolutely god awful experience with no resolution.

I phoned 833-USE-UBER to get a price quote and potentially order an Uber via phone. The agent who answered was surly and directed me to use the app. I explained that I do not have a Smartphone which is why I am using the phone service (and I have an online account). He told me he couldn't help me if I didn't have a phone. I asked if he could at least quote me the price since the online app will only quote the price for an immediate ride, but not an advance time or date. He said again, I can't help you and hung up on me.

The worst customer service I've experienced in a long time, maybe ever. Web chat employees are rude, misinformed and will lie to end chat.

Horrific, absolutely horrific. My 4 year old son and I are about to become homeless because of Uber Customer service. This is not a joke. I am a driver and I have spent the last 48 hours on 16 different calls and 20 chats. Look me up Simon H. I have been a driver on and off for 8.5 years with over 11,000 rides under my belt and a nearly perfect 5 star rating. I had a change of phone number and email address during COVID. I had stopped driving and had to set up a new account to order eats. When I wanted to go back to driving this past October it took me two days to get the attention of a US Based customer service agent who got me access to my old account and fixed the problem immediately. I have been a high school teacher for the last 10 years and thought I could rely on Uber driving during my career switch. I am down to the wire on paying rent right now and am out of food to feed my 4 year old because three days ago they shut down my account claiming I was multi accounting even though I asked customer service to close my Uber eats account I had opened during covid due to inability to access my main account. I received a message after being lied to, hung up on, etc by india all day yesterday, that today it had been ruled my account is perma banned from driving Uber with a dubious claim that my former Uber eats account had been shut down..... I hope it was shut down because I asked them to do that. Not because of fraud but because I regained access to my driver account. Uber has put me in a position where I likely will be evicted from my home. My 4 year old and I will go hungry and be homeless until this is resolved. I have a f-ing masters degree and this is how the drivers are treated? Ridiculous. If anyone wants to join me in filing a punishing lawsuit against Uber due to the substandard, lying, cheating, fraudulent customer service agents I am game. At this point there is nothing to lose. Uber can contact me directly and opt to settle before it reaches the courts but you will be paying me every single day of lost wages between now and then for not giving me an avenue to rectify whatever false claim you have made against me. When someone can no longer access an account due to a changed phone number and e-mail address and when their customer service is so absolutely abusive there is a case to be made for lost wages, emotional damages due to being lied to to get you off the phone, I requested a total of 65 times to speak to a higher up manager and was either lied to or straight up hung up on. Uber needs to be shut down for good. They take 50% of wages from workers, and supply next to zero customer support which put people like me in dire financial circumstances. The thing is ... they did not even notify me that they had closed my only active account not a single email notification nothing. They just decided to close my account while I was actively driving and there was zero recourse. If anything has happened the customer service agent that I asked to close my old account has committed fraud or failed to close the old account and now I am being punished for it. This was before they stopped letting you give customer service your social so I have a feeling it is likely an Uber person in India may have stolen my identity and a former account and there is no one I can report it to in order to rectify this issue. It is absolutely absurd. I WARN ANYONE NEVER EVER PARTNER WITH UBER FOR WORK. THIS IS A TOTAL NIGHTMARE AND NOW I AM JUST SITTING HERE THINKING ABOUT HOW I AM GOING TO NOT BE HOMELESS IN 2 DAYS. UBER USA CALL ME IMMEDIATELY BUT SEND ME A TEXT FIRST SO I KNOW I WILL NOT BE LINKED UP WITH INDIA AGAIN. YOU SHOULD FIRE YOUR INDIAN CALL CENTER WORKERS ENTIRELY THEY ARE ABUSIVE, LYING FRAUDS, PLAYING WITH PEOPLES LIVES AND WELLBEING AND I WILL NOT BE MISTREATED EVER AGAIN BY YOUR JOKE OF A CUSTOMER SERVICE. - SIMON H. 424-537-8770

I don’t know if it’s a robot or just somebody who can’t speak English. They respond to a screenshot with a date and time on it by asking for the date and time for example, just for example it’s not just bad it’s so incredibly bad you can’t explain it.

Their customer service ABSOLUTELY sucks! There is no way to contact anyone, they never help with any issue. I’ve been asking for help to obtain invoices and all they do is say “we understand your frustration, we will send the invoices in 48hrs”… this has been going on for 2 months!!!!!!!!!!

I'm very disappointed with the service, always showing a price when you order your car, then when you get charged, it charged you between 1 to 3 dollars up. When you asked why did they charged you more, they always answered that was the amount since the start. Like today I order an uber , my cost was 13.64 then apart from the driver taking the wrong freeway again it went up to 15 dollars. I checked the receipt and they make it look like you new the price from the start. That wrong!!! Show the right price from the beginning. Why charged you more, and even worse when you want to complained they don't let type anything but the option they already have.

It’s been more than 10 days and Uber support cannot resolve a simplest of an issue of account activation. I have provided them with every single piece of document. All I get from them is we have escalated the issue to our higher up they will get beach to me in next 24 hours. They never do. You can’t speak to their manager or supervisor because they simply refuse to transfer your call. Neither Uber Support can follow up on an escalation nor can a driver partner speak to anyone else other then Uber Support. Uber Support is the most useless customer support I have ever come across. Zero process, zero feedback, completely opaque and inaccessible. Shame for on you Uber

1000% the worst customer service I've ever experienced. I've been waiting for over a month for my background check to get approved so I can drive for Uber Eats. Since it typically takes 3-5 days, I've reached out to their support team 3 times now and not a single person has been able to help me. The 2nd guy accidentally switched my application over to RideShare, so now I have to start over LOL GOOD JOB, GUYS!

Uber support is the worst customer service I’ve never been helped on any of my issues they navigate you through toll roads and then they don’t pay you for the toll and meanwhile it was like a three dollar trip. The company is unfair. Unfortunately I need a little side money, but they send you a lot of two and three dollar trips, you may not even get that much because that includes an expected tip. I don’t blame people for not tipping. Their prices are so outrageous for delivery. Why would they want to tip? Thank God for the people that have given some really great tips otherwise I won’t be doing this company doesn’t care about the customers or their drivers some really great reviews out there

AN IMPORTANT MESSAGE FOR UBER DRIVERS and prospective Uber drivers you must read this. Uber might look like a good deal up front drive a little bit and make a little side money have some money in your pocket whenever you need it back up and look again and the last year Uber has cut drivers earnings. Riders are being charged more and so they are tipping less Uber Uber is offering less opportunity for third payments when it's really busy. Up front Uber does not tell you about the hidden expenses of driving. You must buy your own gas you pay for your own oil changes pay for your own maintenance and upkeep pay for your own tires. Uber will offer you what they call bonus perks for paying for a little bit of gas or paying for a little bit of oil changes but if you look at where they want you to go to get these services they're always either the most expensive place in town or one that is very hard to get into and the discount you get it's not worth the time that you spend trying to get the service. Uber offers free snacks at 7-Eleven but look around you how many 7-Elevens do you see where I drive there are no 7-elevens. You will likely buy a set of tires every year at the $1,000 you'll probably have need of Mechanical Services like brakes maybe a transmission maybe an engine that's all on you and that's a lot of money. In the end you'll find out that you're working for around $10 an hour if you have a decent area to drive in. I've driven for Uber for over 4 years in that time my dog Danny has ridden with me for three and a half years I drive mostly on the Lawrence KU campus or in Lawrence itself and I drive on Thursday Fridays and Saturdays and do late nights so I deal with all the drunks and behaviors like that which I don't mind I don't mind doing that but I am making a third less money this year than I did last year my tips were way down and more expenses have not changed. I'm an older person I'm 73 again I've been driving for 4 years I have no accidents and no tickets and only two complaints that I know of out of 7th over 7,000 trips. I've always tried to present a good image for Uber unlike a lot of the other drivers that are driving in this area I feel complaints from passengers regarding other drivers they've ridden with quite frequently. I get lots of compliments from Riders around the University and lots of compliments about Danny riding with me the students love her I've got no complaints. Recently Uber deactivated my account when I asked why all they would tell me is that it's a violation of community standards in no way am I a violation of community standards my cars are always in good shape they run well and I make sure that people get what they're going safely and I turn down no rides. I questioned Uber about what standard I was violating and was never given a response and never told what it was they were taking action over I never had an opportunity to defend myself or offer an explanation. I'm left to believe that the soul driving force behind this action was because they reviewed my records noticed my age decided I was too old might be a safety risk and got rid of me without explanation. I'm putting this in here so you'll understand that yes I am upset with Uber over their action I feel it was unwanted and age discrimination. However if you look at the information I have enclosed in here it's true and it's probably only going to get worse if you work for Uber I recommend that you sign on with Lyft you'll make about the same money maybe a little more and you'll find them a lot easier to deal with. You might ask why I drive for Uber. I'm a retired SW. I like to stay busy and enjoy driving and working at night. I enjoy the students and have never had a problem with them. I hope through my driving that maybe I save someone's life. I may never know but maybe. As long as I can cover my cost it's worth it to me.
