“Terrible use of communication. After many years of being a loyal customer they have let everyone down with their terrible customer service. My sons received gift certificates for Christmas, but unfortunately after ringing and visiting the shop we have had no contact. Unable to use them on their website so heyho lets put it down to experience and NEVER buy gift certificates for local stores. Disgusted that they can't even put a polite notice in the window regarding their service.”

“I also ordered £142 worth of clothing on April 19th and received nothing emails and phone calls unanswered...the only saving grace is I paid with PayPal and I have reported the situation to PayPal and lodged a claim so I should get my money back. I agree it was totally pre meditated upon their part to keep taking orders knowing full well they would not be honoured”

“Like many others I also ordered very large orders on the 19th of April. It is disgusting that a company can be so calculating and premeditated to get as much money out of unsuspecting customers before going bust. I believe this should result in a criminal investigation of the owners and plan on taking this further.”

“Like Many others on here I have ordered goods to the value of £300 and on the 19-4-19 and still awaiting for the items to be delivered. Still showing Awaiting Shipment on website. I have phoned numerous times with no reply and just a answer machine that no longer allows you to leave a message. I have rang different companies next door to Henry Brummel and been informed the building is closed with no activity. And the website is no longer working correctly. With the lack of communication and website not working correctly I’d say they have ceased trading. Will be contacting bank to try and get a refund. Pity as I have used Henry Brummel previously a few times with no issues. If they have gone bust you would think they would put up something on the website rather than leave people in limbo not knowing what’s going on.”

“Have used HB many times in the past but only bought in store not online . Looking at their site I reckon they have gone out of business . A good guy who worked there in the past ( Munch ) isn't there now , working in Brum . Could be wrong , and hope I am for everyone who may be owed money .”

“Have purchased goods more than 7 days ago. Nothing has turned up and no despatch email. Have called them more than 5 times a day for the last 7 days and no answer all you get is an automated voicemail saying “sorry you are unable to leave a message” have also sent an email and no response. Please do not buy from here, I have reported them to the bank.”

“Awful company. Failed to refund me for a jumper I returned. Didn't reply to emails. Ended up opening a visa dispute with my bank to get my money back. Hope they go bankrupt”

“Ordered 8 days ago spending over £200, No delivery of goods, no confirmation and no response to emails and they do not answer the phone. Have sent 2 emails and made over 25 calls to both their numbers with no answers. They have took my money and i’ve not even seen the goods and had no response. Avoid at all costs! DO NOT BUY FROM HERE!!!”

“Unfortunately I can't give a zero. Agree with all the guys below regarding refunding. Very small order for £15 - £21 with delivery. Received DPD notification that the item was ready for collection at a cycle store in Birmingham ? Contacted the HB store and they wanted me to call dpd to rearrange as this is where I had asked for it to be delivered. Have never heard of the drop off place and advised I wanted my money back. Was told they would process the refund the same day. Nothing done. I then received further notification that my order needs to be collected from this random cycle store. Forwarded this to HB store and have been ignored. These guys do not know the basics of customer service and it would appear they are winding down as they never have any stock !!! Useless.”

“I have ordered from Henry Brummel before and had no issues. This time i'm extremely angry at the the lack of customer service. I returned my item straight away using recorded delivery , that was 18 days ago.I have sent numerous emails with no response . Do not use this company as i'm not the first person to have issues with refunds as it seems they don't like giving you your money back .”

“I placed an order and paid for premium service for next day guaranteed delivery only to be advised my order would not be delivered next day but take 2 days instead. When the item finally arrived it had an obvious fault which I photographed and e-mailed to customer services. I was told there was nothing they could do and no gesture of goodwill was given as I had suggested. A very disappointing shopping experience overall......avoid and shop elsewhere would be my advice.”
