“Shipping was fast! Items ordered for daughter fit true to size and were as pictured. One item ran out and I was notified and money credited back to my account quickly. Will buy from HER Empire again.”

“The dress was not what I was expecting. The quality wasn’t the best, and the bust area was too big. I bought a small. You have to iron the dress which is fine. The biggest downside was I had to pay a lot of money for import fees. Beware international buyers!”

We are so sorry to hear you've had a bad experience with us! We do try our best to provide multiple images and we now also provide videos of the styles to help showcase what the styles look like in real life :) Please if you ever do see something else you may like, email through to customercare@her-empire.com so we can assist you as much as possible including sending through additional unedited images of materials up close etc to ensure you absolutely love any future purchases. As far as import fees we are so sorry for the confusion. We want to make sure you know that our shipping policies are clearly stated in our shipping information page, which is easily accessible before you place an order. Unfortunately, we have no control over duties and taxes. They're not charged by us but by the customs department in the destination country and vary depending on where you're shipping to. We're sorry that this is outside of our control, but our flat rate fee is intended to cover the actual cost of physically shipping your item from one place to another. If you wish to return your item once it arrives, we do offer full refunds. Once again, thank you for bringing this concern to our attention—we'll look into improving our service in the future! Hope you kindly understand! :) xxx

“Product was delivered within a reasonable time for an international (CAD) delivery and the quality is ok. However, the sizing runs way too large! I purchased Taylor skirt XS and Top S and I am floating in the skirt and the top fits funny. The skirt has a lot of material and too long. Not worth returning as there are no free returns so I will need to spend just as much on alterations.”

“I was very impressed with the customer service from Her Empire. I ordered the “destined for you” dress but was unfortunately given the wrong one. I was given a very similar dress, so I see how the mistake could have happened. As soon as I let the team know they immediately shipped me the correct dress. Unfortunately I was notified I’d have to pay duty on this second package. Thankfully, I reached out to the team asking if they would pay (as I didn’t have to pay for the first package and the second package is a result of their mistake). They immediately replied and paid the duty for me! As for the dress, it’s okay! It’s currently being altered as it’s too big. The material isn’t what I expected, as it feels a bit cheap. In my opinion they are a bit over priced for the quality. Shipping was also extremely fast. Overall I had a good experience and I’m sure I’ll wear the dress at some point!”

We are so glad we were able to sort it out and express ship the dress asap to you! As far as the duties, we unfortunately have no access to additional information/ insight into what the charges are as they are different for each country/ package. These charges do change and we are unable to keep up with each country's additional shipping taxes, which is why we also state on our shipping page if the customer is unsure to contact UPS directly for further information prior to placing an order with us. “Great customer service, fast shipping, high quality dress. Only negative is some of the pictures showed the dress a baby blue colour however the dress arrived more greeny blue, still gorgeous, got lots of compliments. Happy I sized down. Overall very happy!”
