“The only good thing in that extremely cold place is the free drinks and some other nearly expired stuff they give away to the staff ocasionally but still won't get them to a 2nd star from me...There is a Chiller and Freezer chambers, so you must know it's VERY COLD in the warehouse and they WON'T provide you with warm PPE from the first day. The warehouse is massively understaffed, despite this workers just stop to chat or sit in the toilet for ages and nobody cares that they're not doing their job. No appreciation for hard work, only for those who cringe to the managers and supervisors. Females and long served operatives are highly favorised by the managment. They can break many rules and do whatever they want and supervisors will close their eyes and even not reprimand them. But if you're new and being picked on by the clique you'll face constant frown faces upon you, finger pointing, shouting at you and bullying. Supervisors are a joke, been promoted from operatives, have no clue how to do the job properly and handling delicate situations. Probation is the enormous 9 months! Pay is a bit higher than the most employers offer in the area but you'll be working in cold conditions and a toxic bullying environment. Steer clear of this extremely cold and depressing place!”

“At the till I wanted to pay with my card the card reader was faulty and had my card stopped luckily I my partner with me who paid otherwise I wouldn't have been able to get my shopping only to be told by the cashier that they have had problems before so why wasn't it fixed”

“I visited your grangetown branch on Monday 8th may at approximately 6pm as I walked in the door there was music playing so loud I couldn’t hear myself think as I got further round the shop there was a male member of staff dancing around and singing with a mop on his head and a female member of staff with glasses on recording him on what looked to be her mobile phone I found this behaviour very odd and very unprofessional customer service skills where zero no care or attention for the customers shopping in the store there only concern was laughing and joking about I only visited this store as I was visiting family and was in the area I have shopped in many heron stores and never have I ever encountered a shopping experience like this I left the store disgusted I certainly will not be returning not a very good respresentation for your company”
“Brought a pack of Richmond thin sausage but when I got home to use them they wasn’t sealed properly they were sealed on the sausages so had to throw them away , went back to the shop the next day to tell them I got an apology but had to re buy my sausage thought I would of at least got a free pack”

“Tried new heron foods Crewe a couple of times and both times it is chaotic in there no social distancing and staff were not telling any body and letting everyone in it was packed not a nice experience and won’t be using again needs to be sorted no body taking notice of the guide lines and staff not telling people walking next to everyone and up and down isles with no consideration for people who are taking this coronavirus serious shake yourself up heron foods”

“Popped in to the cleethorpes store for a drink with my kids, on Sunday 13th Oct and tills had a small queue, once we reached the tills there were 25 people in them. Staff trying all they could to serve people with care and efficiency but management stood in the rear doorway with a cup of drink.”
