“The ordering process and customer information provided was excellent. In terms of the lock it is definitely great quality, however I would echo comments made by John Millbank at Bennett's. It would be useful if the outer casing was a more hi visible colour, I have wound yellow tape around,so that would be thieves may be warned off. I knew before buying that the dimensions would mean that it wouldn't go around my tyre and I would have to go through the cast wheel. An even larger lock that fits over the majority of wheels would be useful. That being said very happy with the product and would recommend to any biker serious about security.

Whilst happy with the product, I think the floor anchor could do with a slightly larger aperture to pass the D lock through. It doesn’t really allow for the D lock to pass through tilted at an angle. Can be a bit tricky squaring up alignment with limited space.”

1 pproblem with mine it does not go around my wheel and tyre , my wheels are wide , I have a Honda rebel1100 DCT tour but I adappted and it will go through the spokes and suspention stuts and locks the wheel fine just a bit fiddly to line up .”

“Great locks - I've had a D100 for a year or so and never had any issues. It's heavy but it's vey secure and with the pouch it's easy to carry. Just bought a family member one to replace the Kr******te lock cut with an angle grinder when her bike was stolen ! Hopefully this will be a good investment. I have a smaller D lock for everyday use and that's been fine, easy to carry with the integral clip.”

“D1000 and XL chain lock arrived quickly and is an exceptional lock. Very well made and great service from Hiplock. Only thing I have noticed is ends of the chain could scratch wheels. Will definitely be buying more from this company. Worth every penny.

“Good solid deterrent as proven by numerous tests. 2 very small criticisms, 1, the packaging was an absolute pig to to open and 2, some dayglo covering on the lock to make it more visible would be a great idea. The one I bought was for my motorbike. I'm going to buy another for my push bike. Great lock! Btw I've made mine more visible with some electrical earth tape, not pretty but effective. See pic.”

“I purchased the zip locks and I believe they are a great product however I wish there was a way to tuck in the tails when you zip them in.

“The lock itself looks and feels solid and I have no doubt it will be hard to destroy it with tools. However I noticed that there is a possibility that it can be self destroyed in a few years: the gaps between lock part and brace itself is so massive that water and dirt will inevitably go inside the lock part when it will be kept outside. I saw there rubber seals on the brace to avoid it but they are way too far from where they should be when brace is locked. See pictures. Very disappointed to see this on such expensive lock. Honestly didn’t think I will see this on your lock after all reviews from famous YT channels and communities.”
Thanks for leaving us a review, though small gaps are normal for the DX1000 the gap should not be significant. The rubber sleeves can be pushed up slightly to close in that gap. We can see you have emailed us to resolve this issue and we're glad this solution as worked for you!
