“So pleased with my Hiplok DX1000 lock - I now have both sizes.
This DX1000 goes through my chubby wheels, the frame and the Sheffield Style street rack- fantastic … with the DX1000 being the longer length it’s the perfect fit for my e-bike and multiple locking options.
It’s heavy, sturdy, well made and easy to open and close and carry. I don’t notice the carry weight while riding.
I purchased the BR1000 bracket separately a while ago that was really easy to fit to my pannier rack - I have set it up to use with this larger lock (DX1000)

“You clearly have a great product and I'm happy to own it. It gives me peace of mind for my motorcycle. But I think you could go further with the customer service you provide. I needed some advice about mounting it to a motorbike but couldn't reach anyone on your chat function (on the site). You have third party brackets on the website, but most of it is for bicycles. You offer a bag, but there's no way to attach it to crash bars / panniers. Many of the motorcycle owners who are investing in your product are likely to be riding big adventure bikes - so you're missing an opportunity to connect with them. If it were me, I'd have experts on hand to help or offer a useful section on the site about mounting the lock to motorcycles. Better yet, I'd offer a bracket that works with motorcycle panniers or crash bars. Overall, I felt underwhelmed with the service and the experience of buying such a premium product. Yes, I'd rather a doctor be qualified than polite, and similarly I'd rather have a solid lock and mediocre customer service, but still... something to think about.”

We don’t currently have any mounting options for motorcycles but this may be something we look into producing in the future.

“Lock is great! Getting replacement keys to replace the ones my kid lost was easy, and fast! Be Aware, though, when buying replacement keys, the replacement is a bundle of three keys. This was not readily apparent. It LOOKS like you're buying one key, so I purchased 2. When they arrived, I got 6. I went back and found that in the Fine Print, it mentions key purchases are bundles of three. I missed that, and it's on me. However they could do more to make that readily apparent on the website before you purchase....”

“Disappointed in two respects -
1. The replacement keys are not marked with the code like the originals.
2. The delivery process not trouble free. I was informed that the keys had been delivered but they hadn’t. I had to query this.”

“It’s clearly a very sturdy piece of kit ( the DX1000 and mega chain. The d lock does really need to be wider to fit the rear wheel and / or frame of my motorcycle. Having said that combined with the mega chain and a sold secure diamond ground / wall anchor any but the most determined and well equipped thief will move on. It’s expensive to buy all this kit but it should be a one time deal.”

“It’s a very thick chain for sure, good for use as a static lock but impractical for commuting with. It’s a little shorter than I expected and the D Lock is very good. I’m using that more than the chain.”
