“Hello everyone at hiplock. From watching videos the security provided is exceptional and hence my purchase. I deducted 1 star as I find it difficult to lock and on day one while trying to lock it, it fell from my hands and the plastic casing cracked. It’s very fiddly to lock, especially when on the bike. One other thing. I cut the rubber off annd wrapped with tape and the lock now fits over the back wheel of my bmw gs1250.
Since 95% of bikes use a disc lock I think making the lock an extra few mm would have been very welcome from the biking community and I wouldn’t have had the remove the lovely rubber.

“Sweet little lock. Would be even sweeter if 5 cm longer. The locking system is well thought out but still needs some tweaking, really just to get smoother action in the buttons and mechanism altogether. That said, it does the job nicely.”

“I live in an area Los Angeles that has more people wanting to steal bikes, than there are bikes to steal. Whether it is on a bus bike rack or elsewhere, the Hiplok will stop that or at least slow-down any attempts to deprive you of your property.
I couldn't recommend this product any higher than I do. A low-cost investment indeed...”

I ordered an extra bracket for a switch lock for my other but the clip was tight a fit to slide into place. Phoned up and a replacement was sent straight out and it all fits together as it should.

“I bought the Zlock combo as it looked durable & well designed on website, seemed convenient to use on 'the hop'. When it arrived it still had same plus points. When changing the combination code to a personal one the lock wouldn't 'move'. I emailed support for help and was advised to use different numbers either side of my code because the 'tumblers' can stick! Poor manufacturing and cheap customer service!”

“I really wanted to like this lock, great design and very practical function. What I think would make the chain lock better is if it were a few links longer as well as making the locking mechanism on the padlock a little taller as well because when you're locking the bike up the material that wraps the chain gets in the way of the pad lock and gets stuck or is unable to reach. Also I feel like the padlock should be simpler, you shouldn't have to keep the key inserted to lock/unlock the Pad it should just click in smooth so you can go. It's also uncomfortable when people start to stare thinking you're trying to steal a bike but really you're struggling with your own lock..lol
Still need to get use to this chain I guess but still feel like the design could be improved. Good for a commuter but if you work as a Courier I'd advise to use a different chain that's quick.
